A case of the Monday's..
A diagnosis reserved only for those who are not fulfilled with their work.. and/ or their performance..
What are the roots?
I have found 2 reasons..
Lack of Challenge and Lack of Planning (or clear objectives)..
When we talk about mindset..much like the the body.. your MINDSET must be CHALLENGED if you want to grow..
If you sit back, do the same mundane things each day, you will not just stay the same.. but you will actually fall backwards..
The mind needs to be challenged..
Like "muscle-training".. adding stimulus that is new and unique, a different set of patterns, is always beneficial to growth and adaptation..
I love to see new places, eat at new restaurants, read new things just to avoid complacency...
There is nothing "stimulating" doing the same things for 30-40 years..
Especially, if you are not feeling great because of it!
So as you approach Monday..
Hit it with a plan..
Personally, I start the planning process on Sunday nights..
First.. I schedule my workouts for the week...
Seconds.. I slow just enough to think about my eating/ fueling plan for the week.. (if I don't take the time to plan this.. I always find myself eating more carbs and simple sugars due to lack of planning)
Next, my clients training sessions for the week are scheduled, followed by any speaking engagements and professional meetings...
These are my BIG 3 POWER-PLAYS..
Like sports, if you play offense you have a better chance at winning..
Planning leads to more wins and less wasted time (aka efficiency)..
So as you get ready for Monday morning.. Plan and Commit to a Great Week!
If you can do this week after week.. your production will be off the charts.. and..
As an added bonus..you will find yourself less reactive, achieving more, and having more "free time" to just "BE"...
Ditch your negative case of the Mondays.. and get ready to Play Big this week!!
