Losing Is For Losers....

Hi Team...

Well- this AM I woke up to some disturbing news....

The Red Sox are headed to the real playoffs.....

Which means, the Yankees are heading home.

This also means one team is a winner and another team is a loser.....

At least temporarily.

You see, that is how it works.

I can remember being on a flight in 2010 coming home from Texas after we lost in the second round of the playoffs against the Rangers...

I remember sitting back on the flight- seeing how pissed off players like Derek Jeter and Andy Pettitte and Jorge Posada were....

I sat back and said, "We are all losers"....

Because...." We lost."

I do think it is important to sit with your losses....

Allow them to piss you off...

Because one of my core philosophies is that "Pain Leads To Growth"....

Without pain, we sit in comfort.

Without pain, we can get lazy to the little things.

Think about your life, from the time you wanted your drivers license so badly to the time you were dead broke...or, that time you looked in the mirror and said, "My God, what the hell happened to me- I look like I ate a small child."

Those moments led you to your next place because they forced your hand...

They forced you to do something different...

To think different...

To act different...

To attack vs. retreat...

When we have a level of pain, we find a super-power we did not know we had...

This is WHY I always say put yourself out there and into situations you have minimal comfort in...because you will find those situations provide you your greatest opportunities to grow and learn....

Do the same shit everyday and see how you regress...

We need challenge.

We need to be pushed and on the brink of loss...

The winners will step up, the losers will go home.

That is how life works....

Winners step up, losers go home.

I know, it is harsh, but it is truth.

Anybody can do almost anything if they have the desire to give it their all and never quit.

This reminds me of a poem by Edgar A. Guest titled: DON'T QUIT.
