Hi Team...

I wanted to change gears for you today from leadership to nutrition...

A big part of my role in working with Professional Athletes is to reduce body-fat and extra weight...

One strategy that can be used (especially with executives) is what I call: 

LIQUIDS TILL LUNCH, THEN A SALAD.

What does this mean?

It means that instead of intermittent fasting, you can actually take in nutrients and some calories.

But, since they will be from liquids, the caloric intake will naturally be lower.

Here are some examples of the liquids you can take in...

  • Water
  • Protein Shake w/ Water
  • Smoothie with Protein, Mixed with Water or Almond Milk
  • Water with Electrolytes
  • Green Juice- Cold Pressed (low fruit)

These are your choices....

Enjoy them....

Once noon hits, you can then have a large salad...

Filled with veggies...and a vinegar dressing...

If you can bang out this strategy, this means that two thirds 2/3 of your meals will be of low calories...

That means your daily intake should naturally be lower provided you do not go ham at dinner.

Do that for a few weeks and watch what happens to  your body.

The first week will be somewhat challenging, but, once your through that phase of biochemical re-regulation and adjustment, your energy will rise and you will find your body tossing off junk weight.

When this is combined with a basic exercise program- even more weight, junk weight will run from you.

I like to use simple strategies that are simple GAME-RULES to help people win at their health game.

For most, over 40, the body does not typically need as many calories that it is given.

This is because activity is often less after 40- and with metabolic shifting downward slightly, the body does not need as many calories or it will start storing those calories as junk weight.

Give this a shot.

Try it Monday -Friday for a week and let me know what you think...

**this may be a strategy you use on/off through the year

***for some, it may be a Monday-Friday strategy, for others, it may be just a few days per week

***micro-test it for a few weeks to see what works best for you!

It works.
