Hey Team!
That's right..
Sometimes you have to Coach yourself.. by "yelling" at yourself...
I really appreciated the video above when I watched it a few days ago... as I can totally relate to Coach K.
My wife often thinks I am a bit nuts.. because as much as I give my "team" a pep talk.. I am the first one to give myself a true kick in the ass.
As humans, we get lazy.
We make excuses.
Blame others for our fails.
And.. often times are not as honest as we need to be with ourselves..
This sequence, when allowed to go on for a long enough time will take us down...
So, taking time each day to Coach yourself to greatness is essential.
Whether it is while you are training/ working out, or every morning when you get out of the shower, or on your way to work, it doesn't matter.. but you must "check yourself.. before you wreck yourself!"
The Yankee Great, Derek Jetereach day, would walk around the clubhouse telling himself and others... STAY HUMBLE!
More Coaching.. he knew humility was a big part of the equation...
We can all learn a lot from high performing athletes.. because performing at a high level, in a me vs. me and me vs. you environment everyday is tough..
Self Talk. Self Coaching. Self Motivation.
Essential.
This is the first step to improving mindset. Positive self talk.. or as I like to call it, "Positive Self Coaching"...
So as we head into this new week, get yourself going.
Coach Yourself.
Have no shame.
Take risks.
Be real with yourself.
Let's go get it this week!
Health. Wealth. Impact. Inspire.
COACH DANA CAVALEA.

THIS WEEKS CARDIO... TO OPTIMIZE YOUR CONDITIONING
30/ 30's
*On treadmill, track, or football field, Run hard for 30 seconds (just below a sprint), then walk for 30 seconds.
Repeat 10-20 times depending on your conditioning level.
If you are on a treadmill, each time you do this, work to increase speed during "work", which will allow your total distance to elevate each time you train. And, speed elevations can be 1-2 mph each time, nothing drastic.
I recommend doing this 3-4 times per week.. Easy. Fun. It works. = WIN.
