Hi Team...

Last night was a real doozy....

As many of you know, this past year, I started a cattle farm.... (well, took one over)....

And, when we took over, there were two cows on the property that were poorly behaving cows to say the least....

Many of us have tried to capture the cows, yet, we all failed.

They would run away as we got near....

If they heard anybody near them, they would just run.

Until last night....

Last night, myself and the team here won!

We got those SOB's!

It is super cold in upstate NY- so, we were trying so hard to get them in the barn to make sure they were getting fed enough nutrients to get them through the winter......

So, last night, around 7pm, the cows walked into the barn and we were able to execute a stealth mission where one of our men was hiding in the upper barn, dropped out of the ceiling and closed the barn door as the cows went in to feed.

That is the backstory...

But, there is more... and a lesson...

This took several hours!

During that time, we could not move.

We could not talk.

We could not take deep breaths...

We could not even really move to adjust our posture or they would hear us...

Do you know how hard it is to not move for two hours and hold the same standing posture- and the same breathing cadence?

But, I learned something.

In stillness comes peace.

In stillness comes clarity.

In stillness comes results.

A powerful trifecta- especially in a time when we are all desiring movement...

From fast scrolling, to quick texts and phone calls... we are certainly not in a time of stillness..

The stillness works though....

I really resisted for the first 60 minutes... then, I settled in.

It took 60 minutes to slow me down enough to just be in a state of calm and peace and knowing that I could not go anywhere until the job was done....

  • I was freezing... but could not move... until the job was done....
  • I was ready to go inside at the 30 minute market.. but, I couldn't.. until the job was done.
  • I was hungry and wanted to go eat... but, I couldn't... until the job was done.

You see, we quit to quickly today.

Farmers are patient people.

They work until the job is done.

Everything else goes on pause- even taking a pee break... until the job is done!

That was what I learned last night....

We are done... when the job is done.

Don't quit when you want to- quit when you are done.

And, remember, stillness will provide you with many, many answers.

Now, let's go out and win today!

Let's go!

That was so funny I was laughing from my belly. I needed that after watching politics all night glad you got the cows now you should go hang out with them and have a beer. But don’t open the doors😂😂😂😂
