Hi Team-

I have a question for you...

Are you somebody that costs yourself results?

Meaning, because you do not take swift enough action, you lose an opportunity?

Or, maybe you spend too much time in the "analysis" phase that you have done so much analyzing, you either spook yourself out of taking action, or, the item you wanted to take action on is no longer available?

Can you relate to that?

Well, if you can, it is common.

But, it is also the difference between Pro level performers and Amateur performers.

Pros trust their gut.

Amateurs doubt their own instincts. (often)

Last week, I interviewed Jim Huether, CEO of the 1-Billion Dollar Company, Hyperice.

They are a niche brand that makes recovery tools to help us move better.

They started in the sports space- and quickly became a consumer product.

What I love about Jim and their story is that he is not afraid to admit publicly:

A. He has never run a $1B Brand...

B. He is not afraid to admit what he does not know...

And, even though he has never led a company of this size before, he is doing it anyway.

He is seeking the answers to the questions he does not have the answers to.

But, no matter what, he is taking action every day to grow his brand.

Yesterday, while I was at breakfast with my friend, Anthony, who leads a Company, Central Turf & Irrigation, who I have been fortunate enough to coach over the last few years... we talked about taking action.

His father started the company with a 5th Grade education and now they are one of the premier brands in their category.

He told me yesterday, his fathers mantra is to TAKE ACTION and you will figure out whatever it is you do not have the answers about.

Can you see the theme here?

Taking action.

Not over-thinking.

Letting action take you to answers.

Isn't that what experimentation is anyway?

How have some of the Worlds best innovations come to life?

Through testing, modification and adjustment and action.

Over and over again.

This is how you should go about your life as a high performer.

Move towards what it is you want to create through thoughtful experimentation.

Do not be afraid to take a shot.

Take a gamble.

Take a semi-calculated/ calculated risk.

Use the data points that are available and then go create some of you own proprietary data that you will acquire and accumulate through action.

That is how YOU grow.

That is how brands are born.

That is how you achieve and maximize your potential.

I want that for you.

Today, start experimenting.

Take action.

Spend less time forecasting- more time acting.

Let's go.
