Hi Team..

Do you know what I hate more than anything?


And... losers.


You see, a loser is a person who accepts the results they are not happy with.

A loser is a person who believes that they have been defeated.

A loser is a person who gave up.

Never give up.

But, it is the "loss" that can also make you a real winner.

In my book, Habits of a Champion, I ask a simple question: Do you love to win or hate to lose?

If you want to build a team of winners, you must build a team of people that hate to lose...

And I mean hate it!

These are the types of people that will do whatever it takes to get an outcome- meaning they will work harder than anyone else, they will state late, come in early, never watch the clock, and keep winning as priority #1.

I hear so many complaints from leaders about some of the people who make up their workforce- and the #1 issue is they have people who enjoy winning, but also do not mind losing. Losing does not rock their core. And, that is a HUGE problem.

I want to take a second and tell you about what happens to somebody that hates to lose- when they lose.

  • They get a fire inside of them that is an unstoppable inferno....
  • They feel a sense of conviction that most have never felt in their life....
  • They lock in like a pitbull with lockjaw on a leg...

That is what happens when somebody who hates to lose- loses.

This is a personality train folks.

It can sometimes be a dominant one, and often is.

But when applied in the right direction, magic happens.

Now, some of you may not have this trait to the extent outlined below, but you can train for it.

You can challenge yourself for hunger by going after things that require your best and your all.

You can challenge yourself by identifying how strong your quit muscles are vs. your work muscles.

When things get tough- how long do you stay in the fight?

Or, do you quit upon resistance.

You see, winners embrace resistance and move towards it.

Losers retreat and find a lower resistance path.

Today, as you get ready to attack your day, I want you to move towards the resistance.

Get comfortable with that.

The big decision, the big conversation, that big action.

Move towards it.

That is what winners do.

Cowards retreat for something easier- that is not you.

Refuse to lose.

Go out and win today!
