Hi Team...

As I was preparing for today's Workshop on How to Master Habits Changelast night,

Last night I got a call from my mother-in-law telling me that my wife's grandmother passed....

She was 101 years old....

And, she was one of my biggest fans!

She was vibrant, energized, and a real spit fire till late last week....and it just shows you how day to day life really is....

But, we also have a choice as to what we choose to focus on....

Do we look at life from the standpoint of loss? Or, do we look at life from the standpoint of celebration- especially this one.

Nellie Kelly came to America in her 20s from Ireland in search of the American DREAM...

A job.

A home.

A family.

A life well lived and one filled with freedom.

Mission Accomplished.

You see, whenever I would see her there were some things that really stood out that I believe we can all benefit from.. and today I wanted to share them with you..

  1. A Simple Life.... She owned her home (no debt).. she lived within her means at all times, and always was charitable.
  2. Strong Belief, Strong Conviction.. A God fearing woman who was very convicted in her path.. yet knowing she can not do it all alone.. having a spiritual basis gave her strength to overcome 101 years of obstacles..
  3. Family First.. A mentality that puts family before all else when it comes to understanding what is most important in life- this keeps you focused on first things first.
  4. A Warm Greeting (By Name).. Each time you would walk into her home or presence, you were greeted by your name in a warm, energizing tone who let you know that you were somebody special and she was happy to see you.
  5. Music.... Music was a part of her life and was something she used to keep her spirits high.. the most notable song she would play was.         "Oh What a Beautiful Mornin" by Earl MacRae.. a great song that puts you instantly in the right mood...
  6. A Cup of Tea, Dessert, and a Simple Diet... Don't hold yourself back.. enjoy life and do not be afraid to eat the dessert. Nelly was a woman with a plentiful appetite for a good nutrient filled meal (at home, seldom dining out).. followed by something sweet and a cup of tea.

+1: Have fun, sing, make jokes, and bust people chops!.... She was a strong witted woman who brought A LOT of personality to whatever room she was in!

I will leave you with these 6-things + 1....

But, as we chase success, pursue riches, and look to enhance our lives...

I, and Nellie Kelly will remind you that it is the simple things- and finding pleasure in less, not more that will keep you happy.

The acquisition of things will never make a battered soul light up again...

It is the simple things like love, family, friends, and a healthy daily lifestyle that will bring the light to any situation of darkness...

This does not mean not to chase your dreams- after all, a trip across the ocean demonstrated her pursuit of a dream...

It means keep things in perspective...

Take no days for granted...

Live in peace.... and peace will always find you...

Cheers to my biggest fan and to all of you!

I hope you can join me today for the LIVE Workshop on Habit Change.
