Hi Team...
As I was preparing for today's Workshop on How to Master Habits Changelast night,Â
Last night I got a call from my mother-in-law telling me that my wife's grandmother passed....
She was 101 years old....
And, she was one of my biggest fans!
She was vibrant, energized, and a real spit fire till late last week....and it just shows you how day to day life really is....
But, we also have a choice as to what we choose to focus on....
Do we look at life from the standpoint of loss? Or, do we look at life from the standpoint of celebration- especially this one.
Nellie Kelly came to America in her 20s from Ireland in search of the American DREAM...
A job.
A home.
A family.
A life well lived and one filled with freedom.
Mission Accomplished.
You see, whenever I would see her there were some things that really stood out that I believe we can all benefit from.. and today I wanted to share them with you..
+1: Have fun, sing, make jokes, and bust people chops!.... She was a strong witted woman who brought A LOT of personality to whatever room she was in!
I will leave you with these 6-things + 1....
But, as we chase success, pursue riches, and look to enhance our lives...
I, and Nellie Kelly will remind you that it is the simple things- and finding pleasure in less, not more that will keep you happy.
The acquisition of things will never make a battered soul light up again...
It is the simple things like love, family, friends, and a healthy daily lifestyle that will bring the light to any situation of darkness...
This does not mean not to chase your dreams- after all, a trip across the ocean demonstrated her pursuit of a dream...Â
It means keep things in perspective...
Take no days for granted...
Live in peace.... and peace will always find you...
