Hey Team!
Happy Friday! We made it!
I wanted to share a semi-personal story with you...
About training.. (and life)...
For the past 2 years I had been very frustrated with my training...
I was going to the gym... doing 30-60 minutes of cardio... doing my core... soul-cycle on the weekends... and I just was "staying the same".. and not optimizing myself...
So..as a result... I got "pissed"...
What did I do?
Did more cardio... more walks... more movement through the day... "more sweat"...
But..
Same result!
None!
I was burning more calories but not seeing a result... a true anomaly..
Then I realized the issue...
TOO MUCH CARDIO. NOT ENOUGH LIFTING...
I was lifting.. but in a comfortable way...
As soon as I hit my (number)... lifting a weight that was very (comfortable)... I would stop and check my " I did my lift box"...
But over the past few weeks...
After talking to some of my buddies who are true weight-lifters, like Coach Billy King and Michael Dusa...
I realized that my issue was that I was not going hard enough with the iron..
I needed to not only increase the amount of weight I was lifting.. but also the amount of sets, reps, and days per week...
Often times I would not have an appetite...
This is what I call a metabolic slow-down... eating because you have too, not because of hunger...
Not feeling like you are "burning" everything you eat...
So, after taking the advice of these champs... and analyzing my training.. I can feel for the first time my body sculpting again... metabolism starting to elevate... and an overall sense of "improved fitness" really taking shape...
Again, I was doing the work.. but was not getting the results I desired because of a lack of "push"!
My challenge for you today is.... think about your training...
Are you training hard?
Or...
Are you training comfortable?
When you lift.... do you actually "lift weights"?
Or...
Are you just doing cardio and basic sculpting/ toning based lifting?
Are you even training at all?
Training should be challenging. Training should be hard.
But in the end...
Based on your results...
It should actually become fun as you feel and see your body changing for the better..
Match this up with a higher protein, clean diet... and BAM...
You are on the fast track to physical success and improvement...
Jump in. Lift. Win the Day!
