What a weekend for me... I don't know about you, but this weekend I made sure I got my sleep numbers up....
Probably about 30hrs. between Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night.....
A true RECOVERY weekend.....
And, as a result, well, I am excited to hit the ground running...
I was very excited for Monday!
You heard it here first....
Have you ever heard anybody say they were really excited for Monday unless they were traveling to the Caribbean for a vacation?
Ready for #1?
Self-induced and based on perception.
You see, if you see a situation, or meeting, or call, or presentation as a BIG DEAL, well, it will be!
Your body will start to interpret it that way....
And, as a result, all of your adrenal hormones will start to be released... making it as if a Tiger is chasing you, when meanwhile, it is just a meeting with your boss, or, your first day on the job.
YOU are creating that pressure.
YOU are dramatizing the situation.
YOU are making this situation a massive situation.
But, it is just a situation.
Another "life" situation... and if you can approach your life like that, you can see how there will start to be fewer BIG SITUATIONS...
One thing I like to do before any call, meeting, or "situation" is remind myself that we are all the same...
SO if you are feeling a bit accelerated, it is probably because you are glorifying another person, their stature, their talents, or their financial status... and seeing all of the above as BETTER THAN YOU/ YOURS.
That is the #1 issue...
Perception of another person....
Change the perception, change the response.
If you start to see people as people, your confidence will naturally rise no matter what the situation, or who the person is.
Change your lens and you will change how you feel..
This "change" of perspective will allow you to start playing offense on your life, instead of allowing situations to take you over and dominate your ability levels.
I can remember as a young baseball player, when I saw a pitcher that threw 90mph, I quickly doubted my ability to hit him, until I did.
Now, I probably hit him due to luck because my mental state was terrible going into the at bat, but, that little bit of luck changed my head-space forever, or, at least the next time I saw 90mph... 95mph took the same luck :) to get me going!
But you get the point....
The goal is to look at life like a batters box and everybody is throwing 90mph... but you are trained and confident to hit 100mph all day long!
Now, it is Monday.
Let's GO win the week!
