Hi Team...

Well, in my house last night, we were really missing baseball.

So, what did we do?

Well, we brought the game to us!

Watching some old 2004 Yankee/ Red Sox Games... while we traded in our traditional menu of fish or chicken, salad, and veggies for Sabrett Hotdogs, Sauerkraut, and Mustard... We had a salad to balance it all out!

You know, sometimes it just feels good to change it up...

If you all are like us, we have all been on such a routine, Groundhogs Day for so many weeks now that sometimes just "Switching It Up"... even if it is your menu, your routine, the route you walk each day, you workout... well, it is GREAT for your mindset..

You see, as great as a routine is, SHOCKING the system with a new stimulus keeps the mind sharp...

We would do this in Pro Baseball all the time...

Professional Sports is extremely regimented..

Same routine everyday for just about 200 games per year...

If you do not do little things to "Shake It Up", performance will actually decline as a result of boredom, causing lapses in focus that can be very costly to the performance of an individual or team...

If you are somebody that leads a team right now, you can even implement some
"change it up" strategies using zoom by putting the work aside, and bringing something fun to the table...

Or, if you are not looking to introduce FUN, you can just change the format of a meeting...

Now, here is the thing... Change is good.. yet it is only embraced by some.

I have a CEO client I have been working with for about 10 years...

He changed up his house and office every decade.

New furniture, new pictures, new paint, new organization and flow of office...

He even updates his wardrobe annually...

When asked, WHY?

He said, "After a few years, you no longer notice the picture on the wall anymore. You no longer realize just how stale, routine, and unexciting your life can become.  So, you must change it up. It keeps you young. It keeps you innovative. It keeps you fresh."

Makes sense right?

Now, I have two question for you:

How monotonous has your routine become over the past few weeks?

Also, do you feel as if it has made you sharper, or, are you getting a little stale?

This is why, each day, find something NEW to read, do, or watch....

Engage with somebody you have not engaged with before so you can "learn" something new....

These little changes can keep you fresh, happy, and growing!

Now, on another note.. if you have not seen the new Jerry Seinfeld Special on Netflix.. it is a must watch! (my wife is not a huge Jerry fan, and even she had tears of laughter in her eye)...

Let's GO!

Change it up!
