Hi Team...

This week I recorded a new podcast episode titled: How To Get Positioned to Win in 3-Simple Steps. 

I find that most people win by default- but not on purpose.

Until Now.

You see, there are habits that lead to winning.

Now, I am not going to tell you that you need to have a gratitude journal, meditate for an hour per day, or start a vision board.

If you want to do those things- go ahead.

But, winning can be traced to a method, a way of doing things, and a series of habits that make winning a more predictable end result.

I am guessing you want to win, right?

And win frequently, right?

Well- let's dig in.

Decisive-Action always leads to winning.

Contemplation, hesitation, and self-doubt/ questioning is a surefire way to lose- with frequency.

We must make decisions and the first thing we are going to act on is our schedule.

I have a saying:

Show me your schedule, I will show you your results.
Show me your schedule, I will show you who you are.
Show me your schedule, I will show you your life.

Got it?

Your schedule and managing that schedule is the point of origin for success.

If you give your time away, you have no chance of making it.

We must own our schedule.

Next, we must make sure that what is on your schedule matters.

Your schedule must be filled with MVAs, or, most valuable activities.

High yield activities that are directly related to you advancing, putting points on the board, and, to moving your life forward.

Got it?

Forward.

We must be moving forward and the right scheduled daily actions allow for that to happen.

Do you see how I said, actions?

I did not say the right scheduled daily contemplations, or hesitations, or pondering/ strategizing. 

I said: ACTIONS.

Finally, when we pair the right schedule, with the right MVAs, and we identifying our failure triggers- then, we can really accelerate forward.

Coach, what the hell are failure triggers?

These are the things that you allow to hijack your success...

Meaning, the things that you allow to take you away from your daily schedule and execution of MVAs.

These failure triggers can be:

  • Emails
  • Text wars back and forth
  • Social media
  • Consumption of too many newsletters, news, and current events
  • Over-thinking
  • Over-strategizing
  • Or, anything that gets in between you and your MVAs

We all have them.

We must not allow them to dominate us, or, most importantly our schedule.

This is WHY we must schedule our own success.

If it is on your calendar, it becomes real.

And since we are speaking about calendars, I want to bring something up that pisses me off.

Cancelling.

STOP cancelling things that you do not feel like doing in the moment.

If you commit, you show up.

Rather than cancel, if you do not want to do something, get in the habit of saying NO up front.

You do not have to please everybody at the expense of yourself, your MVAs, and your big dreams and goals.

That does not mean be a selfish a$$, it means own your calendar and schedule so you have more space in your life to truly decide what you want to do and not do.

Stop doing things out of obligation, or the pressures you impose on yourself to look good to others.

Most people are doing way too much crap and not enough MVAs.

So, if you want to really start winning- stop thinking, start doing.

Doing your schedule.

Your MVAs, everyday.
