Hi Team....

Today we are talking health....

One of my favorite topics.

I spend much of my time talking about mindset, gap closure, efficiencies, and productivity with you, but, most of my career has been dedicated to helping Professional Athletes & Executives reach optimal levels of physical performance...

What I love about this topic is that the ultimate yield is higher performance- but ultimately a person who feels stronger, better about themselves, and a person who has greater energy than their opponents.

I have found the journey to greater physical performance starts with understanding how you react to food as you eat it, within an hour or two after you eat it, and, the next morning.

Think about it like this- you eat something and immediately feel swollen and bloated...

This is common when you eat out frequently and is indicative of you eating too much sodium and usually higher fat from the oils most restaurants use.

Or, maybe a few hours after you eat, you start to slow down, and get really tired.

This is often the result of the above- but also excessive caloric consumption or higher density foods that are more difficult for the bodies digestive system to break down.

If you eat late, this can be met with excessive bloat, or, a feeling of reflux.

Personally, I judge things on the next morning.

When I wake up:

  • Feeling hungry
  • Feeling tight in terms of my skin
  • Feeling lean
  • Not feeling parched
  • Not feeling puffy around my eyes

These are all signs that nutrition and food intake were well received by the body the day prior.

When you start to understand the response your body has to foods- you can then begin to eat and fuel accordingly.

I believe it is important for you to have this awareness.

Realize that food is a tool.

It is an energy source.

Yes, an energy source- so it should give you energy, not make you tired and sluggish.

The problems start when our food sources are rich in salts, fats, synthetics- our body always responds negatively to this trio.

Food science begins not in a Mens/Women's Health magazine article- but it really starts when YOU understand through feel the effect that food has on you.

As it relates to your performance in your day to day- if you have more energy- that sets you up for more and more winning.

That is what it is about.

More energy through the right eating program and training program.

Getting your mind and daily focus right.

And- being all in on winning.

Go out and win today!
