Hi Team...
I hope you all are doing great...
Before I have a big virtual talk to do today, I wanted to share something I wrote with you about "being stuck" and maximizing your full potential.
Who doesn't want to maximize their full potential?
I will tell you.
Those who feel beat down, tired, and like they are taking actions with no reward.
After a while, these are the people who begin to "Accept" vs. "Advance"..
Let's make sure that is not you...
With that said, I want to share something I wrote this AM after having a call with a coaching prospect yesterday...
This is super common.
Especially amongst people who have high expectations...
I was doing a call with a coaching prospect and he said a few things that stuck out that I wanted to share...
1. He wanted to break the $1m in earnings mark by age 35....
2. He thinks hard work is the only way to do it...
3. He hates working with those who are small minded...
He had a feeling of "frustration"- until I told him he is going about his goals all wrong.... (see below)...
1. It took him 5 years to go from 0-600k- NOW he is using the same time cadence as a highly skilled professional to double his income = makes no sense- his goal should take between 12-15months...
2. Hard work is hard. I coach some amazing people who are the best at what they do- they worked hard in the beginning- then, they found the angles so that they could accelerate things through the hard work of others- no themselves.
3. You choose to work with small-minded people. But, if you do make that choice, realize you can not win with them. Small minded people don't have the mindset to do BIG things.
You see, frustration, the feeling of stuck is all based on mindset and what you accept.
If you accept certain timeline, they will be.
If you accept working next to loses, excuse me, non-winners, they will stay.
If you accept the notion that to grow it must be "hard", that notion will be true.
Stuck is a state of mind.
Frustration is the result of friction and internal/ external conflict and lack of congruence.
If you do not break free of the above- you will never meet your full potential, never.
It is not possible.
So, if you want to ring out the sponge of your own potential, it is time to change.
Change is hard.
A great coach can help you do it and see things from a different angle.
It is hard to see the picture when you are in the frame.
Go out and win today and ditch those crazy thoughts that are mostly not true.
