Picture yourself as a great builder....
Somebody who builds the most beautiful homes in the neighborhood....
Or, the nicest skyscrapers in the skyline....
Doesn't your work look amazing?
Well, do you remember when both the homes and the skyscraper were just dirt?
Bulldozers and folks at work just getting the ground right?
Porta-potties on your precious ground...
Who would have ever thought that pile of dirt would turn into something so magnificent?
Well, you are a builder.
But, what I find with most "builders" today is that they are so focused on the skyscraper and the house that they forget to build them.
They look at the plans.
They look at their vision.
But, some never put the shovel in the ground.
Others shovel some days and not others.
Or, they start one house, then another, and another and never finish building!
There are half complete lots everywhere.
Skyscrapers that only have the first two or three floors built.
My point is this:
You get paid for done in life.
You get paid for completion.
You get paid for the end result.
Not the dream.
Not the idea.
Not the half baked cake.
This is why we have to attack our process each day while peeking at the vision.
Most spend too much time on the vision and not enough time on the work-piece.
Well, the work is the part that is not pretty.
It is mundane.
It is monotonous.
It is often repetitive and boring.
But, there is no way around it.
Just like the developer wants to see his/her beauty in the sky- he has to do the labor along with his/her team each and everyday.
That is the process.
If we do not execute on the process- it is very, very hard to win.
Today, I want you to fall back in love with your process.
If you don't have one, well, we have to get you one.
Your process must be customized and built for you, it must work, and it must be stress-tested over a period of at least 8-weeks.
Remember, consistency and the ability to execute on a process is one of the most challenging things to do in an "insta-based" culture- but, it is 100% necessary to getting the outcomes you desire.
It is the great separator between those who win and those who lose.
Between those who have predictable outcomes and those that do not.
Let's go ATTACK the process today!
