Hey Team...

I hope you had an awesome weekend!

I spent the weekend in Saratoga Springs watching some of the countries best Race Horses compete up at the "Spa"... 

What I love about horse racing are the parallels between training real athletes, developing their talent, and then watching them go compete...

Although these are horses.. these horses are bred to compete, race, and win...

You can see the horses that have great body language... the ones that are hesitant... and the ones that get spooked and scared with the slightest sounds, sights, and unpredictable variables...

The sport of horse racing is an old school sport.. but a truly amazing one linking generations...

I even got to see Legendary NFL Coach Bill Parcells... who is a true treat for anybody who has not met him... 

More stories than anybody I ever met (except Bobby Valentine can give him a run for his money)....

But.. today's lesson is about being prepared to play at the highest levels of sports, business, and/or life...

Are you ready to play at that level?

Do you have the habits, routines, and the ability to remain consistent to do so?

Or.. do you get bored easily?

Do you hate process?

Do you hate doing the fundamentals every, single, day that lead to great performances?

You see, most of my life I felt like I was missing the "secrets" to health, success, and everything in between...

So, I started searching...  and I realized two things:

1. The real secret to success in all aspects of life is focusing on the basics and being great at them....

2. We have most of the answers.. and the fact that the "simple things" are what make the difference, trust that the simple things work and most of the "complex" stuff is generated by "marketing" and perspectives.. AND.. if you get caught in the search and rescue loop.. you can go down some pretty dark, empty, but costly roads...

What do I mean?

Nutrition: Eat clean foods.. more fruit, more veggies, lean meat and fish, drink water.. cut sugar, cut starches for weight loss... SIMPLE.

Exercise: Do something every single day... combine weight training with conditioning, get a plan that is built for you... stretch, massage, and change your sets, reps, and conditioning protocols every few months or based on goals..

Life: Family first... make time for those you love.. don't be selfish outside of work hours.. be grateful.. appreciate life every single day..

Career/Business: Do something you love, do something that makes money, do something that helps others.. work hard, be disciplined, inspire those you work with, accept nothing less than you absolute best... take it serious.

To be a Major League Player.. it is your job to break things down to its most simple form... 

Then.. here is the key differentiator... 

Consistent Daily Effort... Trusting that daily execution of the process will lead you towards the achievement of everything you could ever want....

Trust the Process.

Trust and Belief are great friends.

They will lead you towards greatness.

Simplify to be great.
