Hey Team..

Happy Friday...

Listen, do you ever have days where you feel like you should be doing more?

Days where you feel like you have not achieved enough, or, that you may even be falling behind?

Yeah? Me too.

When I have these feelings, the first thing I do is ask myself:

Are you doing the work?

If I answer Yes, I know that my internal dialogue is poor and really just a B.S. story line most likely created by looking outside of myself...

As a Coach, I hear this storyline all the time...

Since most of the World today is on social media in some capacity, it becomes easy to light up your dopamine centers by looking at others.... and, self-condemning yourself by feeling like you are falling behind due to a colorful narrative..

Most of the time though, it is simply not true.

The guy or gal next to you have the same issues you have, in some way, shape, or form...maybe worse...

The same struggles..

They just take better pictures and video than you.... :)

In the end, life is really a You vs. You game anyway.. and you need to fall in love with where you are today... as there is most likely a reason WHY...

And, that reason is not necessarily bad.

Let's just say you doubled the amount of clients you had today- could you even handle that? Could you service them the same way? Give them the love and attention they need? Probably not.

Let's say you have some huge deals on the table and some deadlines for time consuming projects- but you are frustrated that at this point in life you are alone... maybe today is just not the right time...

Maybe you are not happy with the size of your Company or your current office- well, how are your revenues trending? That bigger office or staff could be what breaks you...

We have to be patient in an instant gratification World... where often one is not good enough and neither is two...

The culture today is about consumption, more, growth... etc...

Today, I want you to do this:

  1.  Write down what you want....
  2. Write down WHY.. (the real why, not the B.S. why)...

Then, I want you to do this:

  1. Write down what you need to live a good, happy, low-stress life...

You see, what this exercise often proves is that is the desire for MORE that creates the problems...

Often the second part of the exercise shows us we already have what we NEED and we even have a few luxuries...

It is the crap you are chasing that causes the angst...

So, if that is YOU, it is still OK to go after things...

Just adjust your PACE & PRESSURE...

Take the daily action steps to be better each day... and know, because of your process you will get those things over time.. if you even still want them...OR, you may uncover that you are desiring to make a greater impact with your accomplishments, more so than buy that new Audi... or Bigger House.. or some extra stuff for the basement...

Got it?

Make the adjustments... watch how your life changes...

And, forget what everyone else is doing... it has nothing to do with you and your race.
