Hi Team...

I get a lot of questions about where my daily content comes from....

I will tell you: It comes from my coaching experiences and daily living experience!

Fortunately, I am able to connect with, coach, and learn from some amazing people each and every week. 

I hear what they are dealing with- and work to turn it into usable, easy to consume, easy to apply content.

With that, today I want to talk to you about one of the most powerful formulas in performance psychology....

Ready?

Your Input (thoughts & way of thinking) determines your output....

The formula works as such....

What you think  + what you do = Your Results.

Think about.

If you are not getting the results you want in any facet of your life, it comes back to the formula.

But look at where the formula begins....

It begins with WHAT YOU THINK.

Do you know what you think?

Do you lean more positive or negative with your typical thoughts?

Most people have no idea and would never consider themselves to be negative.

Another word for negative, I have found is analytical. 

Over-thinking, analytical type thinking is really just a mask for negative thoughts..

Coach, I am not negative, I am just analytical. (HA!)

Well, let's break down what is behind analytical thinking....

  • Risk analysis (not wanting to make a mistake or sacrifice safety, security, comfort)
  • Masking of fear (what if this happens, what if that happens)
  • Protecting the downside (so much so that you forget the upside)
  • Comfort (over-analyzing often times keeps you where you are- many times allowing us to validate where we are- when deep down we want more)
  • Safety from the Unknown (we know what we have- do we really want to risk it? what if I end up worse off than I am now)

These are many of the thoughts that take place behind the mask of over-analyzing and overthinking.

As a result, the only thing that happens is time goes by and you get more and more frustrated that you did not take action.

So, you begin to live in this state of " I have to find what is next, I have to ______" fill in the blank- yet, you do not do it.

Why?

Overthinking.

Overanalyzing.

Comfortable.

Got it?

Now, remember the formula....

It starts with: WHAT YOU THINK.

If you have negative inputs (thoughts), the formula will always end up negative.

Meaning, you will not be succeeding or moving towards goal.

Which drives most high achievers absolutely bonkers.

Coach, how do I get myself going again?

You start thinking different.

  • Think about the unknown as a magical place where victory happens.
  • Think about you building the best company you ever worked for.
  • Think about you getting into the best shape of your life and how good you will feel...

Then- follow the next step of the formula.

TAKE ACTION.

A simple action.

One-step.

That action should be aligned to your goal and desired outcome.

When you get stuck or feel stuck, always go back to the formula.

Start thinking better, then, take an action.

Do this day in and day out and you will see your life change.

This is why I love coaching- many people I coach do not understand the process up front, but this is it!

Change their input, get them to take a small action = Better results over time...

And the best part is, the results just happen!
