Hi Team....

Happy Monday....

I have to tell you...

There is nothing better than having a clear plan and knowing exactly what you want to do...or better yet, what you are going to do and make happen...

Do you ever have those days when you know exactly what you are going to make happen?

Clear.

Planned.

Organized.

Ready to attack.

I bet those are your best days.

Days when you have a clear hit/ target/ to-do list.... a calendar that is filled with the right stuff (MVAs- Most Valuable Activities)....

When you have this type of day- you are almost guaranteed to have a great day...

Why?

Well- you are clear.

VERY CLEAR on your objectives, goals, and activities.

That is what all should strive for...

So, how do we do it?

We simply realize our process is everything...

Let me show you a simple process to build your day....

Step 1: SET YOUR GOAL/ TARGET FOR THE WEEK....

(AFFIRM VERBALLY THE GOAL)

Step 2: WRITE DOWN YOUR EVERY-DAYS AND SCHEDULE THEM (The 3-5 Activities You Must Do Each Day To Be Great)

Step 3: SPLIT YOUR WORK DAY INTO 1/3rds... 

  • 1/3 = The Things You Must Get Done (and, that require the most energy- do these first)...
  • 2/3= The Things You Must Get Done (that require the least amount of energy)...
  • 3/3= The Things Your Really Enjoy Doing (that are more related to your passion/ joy)...

The reason I break the day down like this is because the things we avoid, we typically put at the end of the day and we never get to them...

The things we love and most passionate about we often do first... get so immersed that we miss out on ever doing the things we must get done that require the most energy...

So, for most, they typically do the things they enjoy.. and, the low energy requirement things they must get get done....

And, once again, leave the things that must get done and require the most energy for tomorrow... (which never really comes)...

And, the pattern continues of always feeling like you have get "get these things done".. those big things because we often avoid them...

These "must do's- with high energy requirement" are the most taxing but often are most responsible for moving us forward...

Example: 

  1. I want to write a book...
  2. I have a million ideas...
  3. I write down all my ideas...
  4. I have more ideas.. I write those down...
  5. What should the title be?
  6. What should my cover look like?

Do you see the issue yet?

I really just need a simple idea and then begin writing the book...

If I never write the book- by actually sitting down and writing- the book never happens.

Writing a books for me is a must do, high energy task.

That is why most never do it... they would rather sit with the dream of doing it someday...

Think about your life..

Where are you avoiding your version of writing the book?

Well- when you actually build your schedule to include "book writing"- you will be amazed at how you start accelerating.

This is a great reminder as we wrap 2020...

Spend the next 2 weeks just focused on and working on "book-writing"..

"Must-do with high energy requirement" Activities and watch how much momentum you build headed into 2021...
