Getting Ahead.

Off to a great start.

Out in front..

All positives.

What if we approached our week from this standpoint?

I want to share something with you about myself.. 

"When I plan my week Sunday night.. taking about 20 minutes to plan, see, visualize, and game-face for my week on Sunday nights.. I always have a great week."

When it comes to planning.. I always talk about POWER PLAYS.. 

Power Plays are the TOP PRIORITIES of your day, week, and year.. 

Power Plays are the BIG MOVERS.. if you get these done.. you will have the success, goal, and outcomes you desire..

My planning process is simple...

I take out my planning notebook.. and..

1. Write the word POWER PLAYS FOR THE WEEK AT THE TOP..

2. Bullet Point 1, 2, 3  ( the bullet points are the power plays you need to get done.. )

3. + 3 assists (the 3 assists are the other "less important" things you would like to get done)

It is amazing how just writing out these POWER PLAYS can subconsciously imprint themselves within you.. and your chances/ propensities to get these done will be much higher..

In essence.. these are you GOALS..

Now.. the key with this exercise is that you MAKE SURE these POWER PLAYS are your actual goals.. and chain movers..

Once you have completed your POWER PLAYS.. you in essence can be done for the week.. 

If you still have energy and residual focus left.. then you should attack your 3 ASSISTS.. 

With the remaining time you have available.. you can use that as your FREE TIME for disconnection, meetings, relationship building, PRACTICE, health/ wellness.. or as exploration time.. 

My goal for all of you is to not just FILL YOUR EMPTY SPACE for the sake of filling it... but celebrating the completion of these large POWER PLAYS ... 

Use the empty space to RELAX and free up your head-space so you can remain FRESH AND FOCUSED..

I know this may sound like LAZY Advice to many TYPE A Achievers.. but this advice will allow for greats production over time.. 

Avoiding burnout and fatigue.. 

As a result of feeling more "rested".. you will be able to maintain the ALPHA position longer when it comes to your mindset and physicality.. leading to greater confidence and more long term WINNING..

Give it a try.. and measure your productivity by how many POWER PLAYS + ASSISTS you complete over the month..

Fact: 3 Power Plays Per Week = 150 Large Items Completed over 50 Weeks

         3 Assists Per Week = 150 Secondary Items Completed over 50  Weeks

         TOTAL = 300 Projects Complete Annually

300 Completions a year is pretty good right?

What if you could sustain that for 10 years?

That is 3000 Completions.. with plenty of FREEDOM to go with it..

This is how most Elite Athletes and Musicians Practice.. Deliberate Practice..
