If you don't have your health, what else do you have?
Do you want to live a life of pill popping just to sustain a "normal" life? Have you ever seen some peoples kitchens? Pill boxes with days of the week listed.
Little boxes so filled with pills they are overflowing their MONDAY box.
Do you have the mentality, "Well, I am not taking any pills now so I must be healthy?"
Do you come from the cut, "I am not THAT overweight?"
What is your deal man? If you are overweight, even by 10lbs, you are overweight. If you eat poorly and are not active EVERYDAY, you will eventually pay the piper. Guaranteed.
Your life will change for the worse if you keep up the negative behaviors.
I have a task for you: Go to your local gym, pick up a 10lb. plate and carry it around with you for the next hour. Tell me how your body feels. Achy joints, heavily contracted muscle, shoulder pain, etc.
That is what the 10lbs around your midsection is doing to your joint structure.
How about your diet?
Eating out every night at restaurants that use cheap oils freely, butters, salts and sugars- not a good idea if your looking to lose weight or have long term cardiovascular/ organ health.
You can not eat out every night! Those salts, sugars, butters, oils, fats and calories add up week over week and become the reason why you steadily "hold" or "gain" weight.
I believe this to be true. If you don't prioritize your health, you have a low self image of yourself. Case closed. Nothing should be more important than YOU.
I am not saying you need to spend hours on end at the gym or eat low calorie ice cube/ lettuce sandwiches. But, the longer you neglect your internal health and your outside body, your self-esteem will slowly slip year over year.
This brings weakness not strength.
Focusing on your health is the best investment you can ever make. Most people put more emphasis on managing their stock portfolio than their health portfolio.
Think of the downside. Death is actually the easy part. What about all the physical and mental "hell" you will have to endure as you get closer to your final destination. Is it worth it?
Was it worth not doing daily exercise? Worth eating all those carbs and sugars? No way man. No way is it worth it.
All you had to do is exhibit SELF-CONTROL and you will be alright.
Say NO to the dessert tray. Say NO to late night eating. Say NO to yourself when you are getting ready to make the excuse as to why you do not want to workout. The excuses are only going to hurt you.
Now, start saying YES to drinking 1/2 your bodyweight in ounces of water per day. Say YES to daily salads and greens. Say YES to fresh fruit. Say YES to your health. Get your ass moving.
Living healthy is harder if you do not train your mindset for one of health. Training your mind to say YES/NO prior to being in the situation of eating or activity will get you moving in the right direction.
Bad habits lead to more bad habits. Great habits lead to more great habits.
You want to know the truth?
Great habits lead to better results and most importantly a life of happiness. So cut the crap. Cut the excuses. Start WINNING for yourself and your family.
If you quit and give up, everyone around you suffers.
WAKE UP MAN.
P.S.- Just because you were a fat kid does not mean you have to be a fat adult. Just because you have been overweight most of your life does not mean that is who you are. Change your habits. Change your mindset. Change your game.
