~~THE DYNAMIC DUO~~
If you eat like crap... you will look like crap and feel like crap. SIMPLE. Nothing New.
So if you are working to get in shape and look your best... you better learn how to cook!
As we know ... the eating out will add another 5-10lbs of "swell weight" to your body... so the alternative is to "cook it your self"...
For those who are thinking... "I am not Bobby Flay"... you can easily become a qualified "home-chef".. by choosing healthy ingredients, low calorie seasonings, fruit based marinades, and off you go..
Example: Chicken Cutlet (marinate in a bag of lemon juice with some cracked pepper) + Mushrooms sautéed in a balsamic vinegar... A quick and easy dinner that will take 15 minutes or less after marinating chicken all day...
Food is the driver of great health. Food will power your activity and also deaden it if you make the wrong choices... Food will change your biochemistry for better or for worse... will keep you living or busy dying..
Low calorie, High nutrient food is what we are seeking... Dr. Joel Fuhrman is a huge advocate of this.. suggesting is Nutritarian Eating Program... creating an eating plan composed of 85% fruits and vegetables and legumes.. and 15% or less of lean meats/fish and proteins... He also suggests using vinegars as flavor enhancers... rather than high sodium store bought dressings...
Eating should be simple. Eating should still be enjoyable. Eating can be a game changer.
So many people are confused on how to eat, what to eat, when to eat, and what foods do what to their bodies.. and rightfully so... but for the context of this writing.. Let's commit to making Vegetables and Fruits and Legumes (beans) the base of our nutrition pyramid... and then selecting nuts, seeds, avocados, and lean meats to comprise the rest... we will eat 3 staple meals per day.. and in between, ad snacks based on the above..
We are going to limit our dairy, limit starchy carbs from breads- pasta- baked goods... and sugars (I refuse to call fruit sugar...relative to that of oreo's--- sorry... do you know anybody who got fat from eating to much cantelope?).....and start to reform our bodies along side a great training plan..
This week was dedicated to eating well... next week we will talk training... we may even get some video from my ML Strength Training Centers... to give you guys some practical exercises and plans! #trainlikeapro
