Chief Executive Officer..
Great Title.. many aspire to have it at some point in their life and business career..
The ones that obtain it are often greeted with High Stress, High Expectations, and High Rewards when they hit it big...
But what I have been reading/ studying lately, most recently the CEO of United Airlines, Oscar Munoz is that their health is going down the tubes with their earnings..
The CEO of United was your typical CEO in a lot of ways in that he got up every morning, worked out, was a vegan, and was "on-top" of his health (he thought).. except he did not consider the toll his training and restricted eating took on him, when combined with high travel and high stress..
In a recent interview he said, "Clearly, nutrition is great. I was a vegan, so being an athlete and a vegan certainly sounds like it would be the right thing to prevent something like heart disease, but it's highly genetic. Heart disease is twice the cancer deaths in America, and it's a silent killer."
Yes- there are genetic predispositions that we all have.. but these predispositions are "activated" with the right amount of stressors..
It is our job to keep these stressors in check and not let the workload of life, business, and the quest of achievement take us down..
I always speak of "having awareness".. and living in fast paced New York.. I see that many are aware of their periphery but lacking self-awareness as it relates to their internal health..
The Doctor can give you an A+ Physical and you can still drop dead..
If you feel something is off, not right, that your system is working harder than it should.. you are experiencing daily fatigue, aches/ pains, and "pressure".. you may have a problem that is not yet detected..
STRESS.
Remember.. with certain choices and lifestyle habits, you can eventually activate your predispositions.. and derail your train..
Get on top of your physical health and mental health by PULLING OUT at different times of the day and times of the week, month, and year..
PRO TIP 1:Schedule a lighter day of work after a long road trip or travel day...
PRO TIP 2: If you are fatigued and "burnt".. rather than push through the workout.. get a massage and hit the steam, sauna, and whirlpool..
This is healthy..
This is a WINNERS strategy..
This is what high performing athletes do to stay on the field and compete long term..
Isn't that what you want? To compete and WIN long term?
Rethink your daily "Exercise & Grind" session when you are feeling "toasty" and the rewards will be substantial..
If you need help... let me know..
I always tell people, "I am in the LIFE BUSINESS..I help people save their own life"...

Stay on top of your health... even if your medical report is "clear"... if you do not feel right.. you many have some pre-requisites for a future breakdown..
I have found when I lose my focus on my self-care program, that often leads to higher stress and tension in my body..
If that goes on for years on end.. that becomes hypertension and heart issues..
Stay aware.. always put your self first..
Be selfish to be selfless...
