Hi Team...

So, I wanted to share this with you.....

I got two new puppies for the farm- and they are exhausting!


Not just because they are puppies but because their training was crap!

So, they have bad habits.

Bad, bad habits.

But, they have come to the right farm.

They have come to the farm where we are all about habit change.

The first night they stayed- well, let's just say they made a mess.

Their behavior was terrible.

Since then, I immediately put them on a schedule.

I gave them a certain amount of space- because if you give too much,  they get out of control.

Using the technique of scheduled consistency- they have a start to their day and an end- the same time each day.

They have an area they use the bathroom- not the entire yard.

They eat at the same time.

And- they are now performing.

Executing exactly how I want them to execute.

Coach! Enough about the dogs!

How does this help me???

Well- I coach people the same way.

These are my golden rules:

  1. Everything is scheduled (clear start, clear stop, everything in between has a place on the schedule- if it is not there, it does not get done)
  2. We do not give too much space and we focus on one thing at a time
  3. Consistency is everything and structure around consistency is critical.

We must not give ourselves too much space or rope or we will be so FREE that we will just keep living in idea, theory, and what I can do world instead of actually doing!

Think about your life- how often to you do nothing because you are working to do everything at once?

How often do you not do something because other things just happen to get done first- neither of which are on your schedule?

How often are you living in reactivity and responding to what is in front of you rather than living with a plan (that can be adaptable)?

You see- we need structure.

We need to know what we have to do next.

It needs to be visible and in front of us.

It needs to be performed daily, using the principle of repetition in order for it to be effective!

When we execute on the above- we win.

And, we win without the stress.

We play our game- not the game of others.

We play the game we need to in order to win.

This is what I want for you.

To always be playing on offense and letting the game-rules above lead your charge!

You can do this.

When you do- the resistance you experience will be lowered dramatically.
