Spring Training.
An exciting time of year for most baseball fans.. and most players..
Except for the ones who decided to spend their off-season partying and eating excessive amounts of home cooking!
Now I know it is a bit early to be talking about Baseball Season, but after a great Spin Class last night (here we go again with the spin classes Coach)...
But last nights class reminded me of something I wanted to share with you..
How did we strip 20lbs. off of an overweight Yankees Player in 6 weeks?
Simple.
Night Sessions.
Night Sessions meaning 6pm..
I look at burning calories from the standpoint of flipping on your furnace..
If you can get the Temperature HOT enough.. when you throw wood on it, no matter how thick the log... the burn time will be FAST.. that thick piece of wood will burn right up..
Compared to the furnace or fire not being that HOT, the wood would take longer to burn..
I look at METABOLISM the same way..
Think of your body as a FURNACE or a FIRE..
How do you get the TEMP UP?
Work.
Conditioning.
Interval Training.
Now the next questions is..
How do we keep the Fire BURNING Hot all day long?
Start it in the Morning, Do Something Mid-Day (to prevent the fire from going out).. Then...
FIRE IT UP AT NIGHT.. with High Intensity Training (it can be as little as 15 minutes)...
This is what I call a FULL BURN CYCLE..
Just as your FIRE starts to dwindle down in the evening, BOOM... You fire it up again.. and now you are BURNING WHILE YOU SLEEP.
As the Sun starts to rise.. and your fire is dwindling.. BOOM.. Time to fire it up in the Morning and start the cycle over again..
Everything you eat will now be burned and metabolized more effectively and efficiently..
You don not see many FAT Runners right?
Why? Hot Fire.
You can do the same..
Burn Cycles. Keep the Fire Burning (which means your metabolic rate is up).. combined with a CLEAN DIET.. and you will achieve your goals!
