Hey Team...

It is time to get back to business...

Time to focus on our health at a cellular level....

And we do that by changing how we fuel our body...

Now, being of an Italian background, I love Olive Oil.

It is my favorite.

When I cook, out comes the bottle.

When I dip, out comes the bottle.

When I make salad, out comes the bottle.

You get the point.

But, what if I told you just 1tbsp. of Olive Oil has 119 Calories...

Now, for those who spend some time on the gym.. hitting the cardio machines, think about how much time you have to put in to lose 119 calories...

Here is the thing with weight-loss and body-fat reduction: IT STILL COMES DOWN TO CALORIES...It always does.

Look, you want to know what KETO, PALEO, WHOLE 30 and PLANT-Based Diets have in common?

They push LOWER Calorie foods into your menu....

They tell you to reduce the sugars (high calories), sauces (high calories), and other foods that have a very high calorie count, but a low nutrient density.

Why do I bring this up to you?

Because I have been Coaching many of my clients lately that are focused on "weight-loss"... and they are not losing weight.

They all tell me the same thing: Coach, I promise you, I am eating much better!

Then, we break it down.

Do you know that a pound of fat is 3500 calories?

Do you know that a glass of wine = 150 Calories?

  • Well, just 1-Glass per night during the work week = 750 calories per week, 3000 calories per month. If you have 2 glasses, thats 6000 calories per month!

How about if you cook your vegetables with 4-5 tbsp. of Olive Oil?

  • Well, since 1 tbsp has 119 calories, that is almost 600 calories in one shot! Now, when you flood your salad with oil, realize, you are making it "healthy" due to some of the positive properties of the olive oil, but you are making it extremely calorie dense which hijacks weight-loss.

Year ago, I was Coaching a woman that used 3 splendas in her coffee to avoid having sugar.  She drank 3-coffees per day.....

  • 3 Coffees Per Day x 3 Splenda Packs = 9 Per Day
  • 9 Per day x 365 days = 3,285 Splendas...
  • That is a lot of Splenda... over 5- years = 16, 425 packets...

You see, our habits can become dangerous... especially the ones we do everyday that we do not give much thought to...

Like, those few tables spoons of cream we use in our coffee... 30-60calories per cup....

It adds up...

And, you when you track your calories even for a few days, you will see how quickly you can eat up a daily allowance of 1500-2500 calories....

It's scary...

So, if you are somebody that is having trouble losing the weight...

Start studying the details of what you eat and drink.....

Calories.

I know nobody wants to count them...

But, they count.

And, they add up quick....

Yielding waist-line expansion year over year....

Let' GO!
