December 31st..
The End.
Actually one of my favorite days of the year.. and not for the party-ing.. but because it is like finishing a book...
It feels good to complete something.. and then turn the page and move onto something new!
This was a great year for me in so many ways.. from getting engaged to married to transitioning my business.. to launching a new business and speaking career..
All very exciting stuff..
And for 2018... Return to 197lbs.. my best playing weight.. launching of my home-care exercise therapy business for 50+ Active Adults & Seniors.. and doing 3-4 speaking engagements per month.. (while taking 3 of 4 weekends off per month, and doing some traveling!)
What about you? Are you planned? Set? Ready to Go?
If not.. it is OK..
I have a plan for you!
I was reading a great article, retweeted by a friend of mine, Tom Ferry -- about setting goals.. but not 365-Day/ 1 Year Goals.. but 7-Day Goals.
The article (Click Here to View) was published by Inc. Magazine and highlighted why most people fail at goal setting..
It is very hard to stick with something for a FULL YEAR.. but if you can win 1-week at a time.. you can really achieve great things over time..
Think about my goals..
I want to get to my best weight of 197.. but that is really meaningless..
Unless.. the goal is: I want to eat Paleo Meals (vegetable/ fruit/ protein) meals only 6 days per week.. with a cheat day on Sundays..
My end result at the end of 52 weeks of following that will be the 197..
But the 197 is useless without the daily/ weekly action.
WIN each DAY.
WIN each WEEK.
Don't wait till years end to evaluate your progress.
So.. make your goal your action steps broken down into their most simple forms.
Another example: I want to do 3-4 speaking engagements per month (useless goal without the action)
The real goal should be: I want to contact 5 event organizers per day, Monday- Friday. That is 25 per week, 100 per month-- I need to convert on 3-4% of those contacts. = WIN.
When we break it down.. and can be consistent with the action steps (which are really the goals), WE WIN.
Now.. enough on me.. make your list. Spend that 20 minutes of alone time and get cracking so you can dominate 2018-- 1 day, 1 week at time.
Happy New Year!!

P.S. Thank you all so much for the feedback, comments, and support through this year.. more to come this upcoming year..
