Every once in a while I come across something that truly inspires me- and, today I want to share that something with you.
Myron Steves Sr., just before he passed at 103 years old shared some amazing words that I believe we all should live by....
He was in the insurance business, having started his own business. He spent his whole professional life in the insurance business helping others to limit their risk- yet, embracing risk was what his life was all about.
Without risk- there is not growth, no gain, no reward, and actually no fun.
How often do we live by playing it super-safe in all we do?
What if it is the risks of trying something new that takes us to a place we have never yet been?
What if it is the risks we take that allow us to live more freely than we have ever lived?
Myron's advice to all is vey simple: GO TAKE SOME RISKS....
He had a few others words for us...
His advice: "Stop looking for advice. Go out and do something and stick to it- come hell or high water. Everything in life is a risk. Getting married. Having a baby. Crossing the street. It is all a risk. Go take a risk."
This is what life is all about- the moments.
The bets we take on ourselves.
The chances we take that have no guarantees of gold at the end of the rainbow- just the possibility of such.
When I watched this video of Myron- I saw an old man that still had a light of fight in him, a lot of spirit, and a lot of work still left to do.
What a great reminder for all of us.
Let's get to work.
Let's make things happen- by taking some risks in our lives.
Living with regret is never fun- and wondering what we were truly capable can leave a persons soul feeling incomplete.
Life is a risk.
Remember, in the words of Myron Steves: GO TAKE A RISK.
