This is definitely one of meaning for me since I have spent my entire career training high performance athletes.
With that, I have also had the chance to travel to gyms and training facilities around the World. Often times, left wondering why the training was so mediocre and one dimensional.
What do I mean?
You would go to this place for stretching, another for rehab, another for recovery work, this place for weight training, and another for your rehab.
Yet, when you go to a Professional Sports Team, we had it all in between two departments, Strength & Conditioning and Athletic Training.
These two departments did it all.
Unfortunately, most of the "real" world has never had the chance to experience this integrated training style.
So, they are left to their own devices to put together their own personal training and lifestyle plan.
Definitely a potentially dangerous proposition since the knowledge most are armed with is from internet marketing trainers, radio hosts and mass media headlines.
Over the next few weeks, I am going to provide you with the knowledge, protocols, and training that the PROS get to have on a day to day basis. This is going to be an "inside" look for you.
I hope to open up your mind.
Also, giving you a greater understanding of what YOU need to take your performance to the next level, and to most importantly understand what it would take to get your body and mindset to that of an #elite Professional Athlete (even if you are not, or were, or are just wondering what it would be life to take your game PRO).
