But not taking the strategic action necessary to drive outcomes...
When I coach CEOs and Leaders, I remind them to "put on the strategic pressure"- what that means is send the email, make the call, have the meeting, and put the pressure on the person or team you are needing something from...
For example, let's say you want to see if somebody is actually doing the work they say they are....
Strategic pressure can mean calling for the work in real-time, like now.
Force the deliverables immediately.
You will see that strategic pressure will either show they are being truthful, or, totally full of shit.
Another example of strategic pressure is posting a position for a job that somebody else who is dancing around already has....
Let them see the posting...
They will either step up and improve, or, they will cave to the pressure.
Either way, you have an answer.
Strategic pressure is a tactic I have used for years- even on myself...
For most, they are not sure if they are ready...
Same is true for Ole' Coach here...
So, strategic pressure for me may be selling something before it is complete- making a sale, and then really getting a fire lit under my butt to get it done....
Or, maybe there is a program I am wanting to launch and I am dancing around it- so, strategic pressure means broadcast a launch date....

Come up with a launch date- and force my own hand.
It worked.
