Your physical health is more important than your mental health..this is WHY..

Now I know there are plenty of people out there that will disagree with my headline, especially those in the field of psychology..

But, I will have you know I am right!

And here is WHY!

Have you ever spent the whole day cooped up at home?

Whether it be a storm keeping you there.. or a cold.. or post surgery?

Do you remember that feeling you had after about the 3rd day?

You were going NUTS right!

Why?

Was that the result of your mind?

Or.. was it the result of your PHYSICAL BODY being impaired.. and as a result.. you were losing your mind?

This validates my claim on the important of BURNING YOUR TOP LAYER every day..

This is a term I came up with that refers to everybody having a certain amount of energy... that needs to be burned every day..

We need to burn this energy down so it doesn't become "PENT UP"...

I hate to say it.. but the more I see, the more I realize Dogs and Humans are much more similar than we think...

We take them out everyday for a walk or run... WHY?

To burn the top layer... so they do not wreck out homes by tearing it up and going absolutely bonkers..

If you can take 30-45 minutes everyday.. to increase your heart rate, break a sweat, and free your mind from the Technology Handcuffs that are holding you prisoner to your self.. I think you would be astonished at how much more relaxed you feel.. and how much less Anxiety you have!

How many people (and children) are medicated to help with A.D.D. and improvement of focus, reduction of anxiety.. or to "reduce their temper"?

Many.. after speaking with a pharmacist friend, he told me these types of prescriptions are flying off the shelf.. .

And as a Coach.. What do I see?

We are less active than ever before.. and as a result.. we have too much pent up energy!

If we do not burn it.. we will lose our mind..

So focus on your physicality each day.... even for those 30-45 minutes and watch your game change..

Lose the meds and hit the track!

Especially to the desk jockeys out there.. your office is an inferno of TV Screens, Computers, and Fluorescent bulbs that can accelerate your heart rate and mindset even more..

Unplug and start winning.

Mental health, also known as “psychological health” is just as important as physical health. Mental health is a very crucial part of our day-to-day lives. It acquaints us how to cope with life and relieve anxiety.
1 in 5 Americans goes thru a mental illness such as depression, anxiety disorders, or PTSD (also known as “post-traumatic stress disorder)”
“Being able to be your true self is one of the strongest components of good mental health” (Mersy).
Mental health and physical health should be treated equally
Physical and mental health are both crucial to living a happy life.both of them are just as important and that we need both of them just as equally.

Yes, our physical health is so important and can help with our mental health. But , telling people to “lose their meds” is unacceptable. I don’t think you realize how much people suffer. People who take meds for a mental ILLNESS like A.D.D or depression feel so much better when on meds. If that is going to stop people from feeling bad about themselves or possibly taking their lives, then I say yes to the meds. What you said hurts and is immature. Know your place coach, and be aware of the words you say.

My question would be what if you had space for both in your life? Say, for instance, you are going through a time of stress and you need an outlet. What if you had a physical practice (i.e. going for a run) or a mindful practice (i.e. journaling) that both helped you work through that stress? Both of these activities can help alleviate stress and anxiety. How can you say with certainty that one of those would contribute to your overall health more strongly than the other?

I don’t think one is necessarily more important than the other. I think we need to make space for both, and only in knowing ourselves closely will we know which practice our body needs at that moment.
