Hey Team..

Hope your week has been filled with mini-victories... 

Those mini-victories are often the sparks we need to create Championships over time....

A lot people I meet today are looking for that one big moment....

But what they fail to realize, is that there are moments happening every, single day that can either make them or break them... that will either make them a Champion.. or just a frustrated seeker trying to figure it out....

Don't miss the moments... 

Those small victories over time are what lead to the trophy at the end.. whether you are in sports or business or life... focus  on your process... 

Be consistent with your process...

Tweak your process until you love it...until you love the results...

But realize this.. it is about tweaking..more often than not.. and not a drastic change that separates you from where you are.. to where you want to go...

You see, to be a High Performance Leader you really just need 5-things...

  1.  A mindset that is not limiting....
  2.  You must have a purpose bigger than yourself...
  3.  You must be committed to helping others succeed...
  4.  You must define winning for yourself and the team.. (clearly, and stick with it).
  5.  You must make sure your physical state and mental state are strong, clean/clear, focused, and genuine..free of past demons and pre-conceived notions.....aka.. being open...

 

That is it... 

Those five characteristics of leadership set the foundation....

Once you have an understanding of these items.. you then have to build out your daily process that can match and reinforce these characteristics/ behaviors...

What do I mean?..

If you are constantly filling your mind with negative thoughts, dialogues, and thinking about protecting your down-side more than focusing on the UP... you failed Step #1, #2, and #5...

If you find yourself leading with an iron fist, with extreme frustration, and are not really sure if you are doing the right thing.... you failed Step #1, #2, #3, #4, #5...

Do you see how it works?

It all matters...

If you eat like a slob and do not exercise and remain focused on your physical and mental well-being, EVERY-DAY, you can not possibly expect high performance leadership everyday...

Simple as that.

Have you ever been through an airport watching business travelers eat?

Classic meal = Slice of pizza + soda/beer + oil stain on shirt....

Classic. Not that those things are bad (once in a while).. but something tells me, knowing human behavior and habits, this is more the norm for these people....

What are your norms?

Which steps are you failing on?

Get these right.. and you will watch your leadership go from Low Performance to High Performance... but you gotta do the work.. carve out the time...

Follow the goal posts....

Maximize your day with a blend of work, development, and free-time...

That is how you win....
