Hey Team!

Well.. I made it..

Beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico….

What great memories…

As a kid, my parents always made it a point to travel with my brother and I,

taking us places that were a totally different culture, language, and economic state than the suburbs of NYC that we grew up in…

Now, we all know NY is a melting pot, but it is much different when you bring two little Gringos to a place like Puerto Rico…

I used to play baseball on the Island all through high school, and now, I am actually back on the Island to Coach baseball players, rather than be coached.

It is amazing now thing comes full circle.

On my drive to the airport yesterday, I had a thought pop into my mind about preparation and how it relates to life…

Part of my Coaching will involve me speaking to the ballplayers and doing a book signing, so I wanted to have something special for them…

So before I share with them, I am going to share with you.

Preparation.

We all know the word, I am not sure we all know what it takes.

When we prepare, we feel a sense of readiness and security that takes over our body and mind…

Which, is really important in a World, Sport, and Life that provides zero security.

It must come from within….

We must realize that we are all going to hit challenges and difficulty…

Not probably, definitely.

It IS going to happen.

Who survives and thrives?

The prepared.

I am not talking about preparing by having emergency plans in place, a bomb shelter, and astronaut food.

I am talking about preparing your body and mind to endure challenges by training.

Daily training to strengthen your mind.

Daily training to strengthen your body.

Daily training that makes you stronger, more powerful, and ready to react and face any Monster (challenge) that comes your way.

Some of you may be facing that Monster right now.

Others face it daily in the form of stress, anxiety, fear, and doubts….

Regardless, we must train.

No matter our age, our ability, our talent… we must train.

Get on a daily workout program that pumps blood through every vessel in your body….

Get on a daily mindset program that puts you into SILENCE for at least 5 minutes per day…

None of this has to be formal (although the coach in me would love that)… but it must be done…

Years ago, I was Coaching some Executives in their 40s/50s to better health…

I had 1-Rule: YOU MUST SWEAT EVERYDAY by way of your own work (not a sauna)….

That got them going….

Then, they wanted more…

Over time, their preparedness, readiness, and strength really began to kick in and made them super-charged leaders and executives…

They resisted fatigue, had endless energy, and their physical body and energy field totally transformed….

What do you think happened next? Their Company improved.

Preparedness.

The greatest players of all time all believe in it.

Life is scary.

Life and situations can either eat you, or you can eat them.

Decide if you want to be Pacman or the Monsters….

You decide.

Now, as we get ready to take on another day…

Let’s put our hands in and commit to preparedness.

You have greatness inside you…

Bring it to life through training.
