Hey Team...

Busy day today for me... but I wanted to grab you quickly this AM....

I am taking a "red-eye" to the West Coast.... but before that... I have to to a talk with a Sales/Leadership Team in New Jersey.....

And on those days when you have to travel.. you know, your mind can spin a little... (if you let it)....

This is where routine, preparation, and focus all come into play....

Every great player in any sport (and business) has a routine they lean on and into.....

Their routine keeps them consistent...

It keeps them focused...

It keeps their outcomes semi predictable...

And therefore.. it keeps them calm....

Today though, I wanted to ask you, Do you listen to your body?

Are you able to understand when your body, your machine is in distress?

You see, so many today are "running" through life....

So fast that they are unaware of the mental and physical negatives their are inducing... and that their body is trying to tell them about ....

Example:

Acid Reflux = Gastric Distress (you are eating foods and drink that are not jiving/ preferred by your body...)

Panic Attacks/ Anxiety = Systematic Distress (you are not allowing your body time to recover and heal itself..therefore it is in a hyperactive state)

Bloating = Gastric Distress/ Food Reactions (you are eating foods that do not serve your body, but instead, cause a negative reaction)

Inflammation= Total Systemic Stress (this can show as skin rash, bloating, chronic fatigue, cloudiness, joint pain)... you are not giving yourself the proper nutrients, rest, and calm the body needs.. so therefore your body "flares up"...

What I find is people don't get it....

They do not hear, feel, and see their body calling out for help until it is too late... and they think they are having a heart attack (and in some cases, they actually are)....

If you want to thrive long term in sports, life, and business.... you gotta get your mind right...

Forget the "lifestyle" obligations... and get focused on your personal obligations.. YOU!

Yesterday, I posted a video on Derek Jeter... 

He said, "People today are not focused... they are focused on too many things.... and you can not be great if you are focused on too many things...I am just focused on baseball. I did a few other things.. but baseball was my #1"....

My question for you is this, "Are you your number 1?"...

It sounds vain, but if you are not taking care of yourself and the HIGHEST LEVEL.. making that your #1 Priority... you will eventually have nothing to give others...

Too many people today are running around "money rich" but bankrupt in all other areas of their life... especially their health....
