Hey Team!

Well....

I made it...

Sunny, Southern California...

And man was it a great first day...

22,000 steps... hiking the streets of Santa Monica...

A great workout in the morning next to Hillary Swank...

And some A+ Nutrition....

And last night, I drove to Laguna Beach which is a really special place for me... and you too believe it or not!

Wanna know why?

Well, three years ago, I was training one of my MLB players who lives out here... and during that off-season, this Blog was Born!

3 years, hundreds of blogs, thousands of lives changed....and moving towards better performance...

Amazing...

Before I go though, I wanted to share a question I received while speaking earlier this week...

"Coach, when you coach people, where do you start and what do you do?".....

I broke it down like this....

#1: I identify the elephant in the room...(that persons top issue/ priority)...

#2: We begin the process of change slowly, modifying one habit at a time.. without putting a timetable to it... making change natural and organic....

#3: We define what WINNING looks like to that person.....

#4: I help them to Stop Living in the Spaces...

Living in the spaces? Yup.

Most people that I Coach and come across are in the spaces...

Meaning, they are caught between WHAT they are currently doing... What they THINK they should be doing.... and What they ACTUALLY WANT to do.....

That is a dangerous place to be.... because your mind can play tricks on you.. time will pass... and next thing you know, you are different person than when you started your journey....

When somebody can stop living in the spaces and start living an intentional and convicted life... their game changes....

But it takes some time to cut through the story line they wrote for themselves and have convinced themselves they have to believe.....

Comfort.

Comfort is the enemy of greatness....

So Coaching is about breaking patterns...

Modifying habits...

Shifting Perspectives....

And then executing on the plan....

SIMPLE.

My role is accountability and challenging anybody I Coach...

So today, I challenge you to stop living in the spaces!
