Morning Team...

Beautiful morning here today in South Florida...

Before I head out to the gym this AM... I was doing some thinking about the word: Achievement...

Since most of you who read my daily blog are class high achievers, today's message should be quite relatable for you!

Do you have something big you want to accomplish?

Maybe a few big things?

Maybe, to date you have even accomplished many of your previous goals (which I know you have)... and then boom, a new one or two have sprouted up...

This is common...

This is the life of the high performer...

But where many high performers struggle is with pace and patience....

When they are not achieving or moving forward at the speed they desire... well, they freak. They get irritable.. frustrated..moody.. and even isolate themselves to strategize on "how they are going to get it done... by X-date"..

Can you see yourself at all?

Adding all that pressure?

Well, here is the deal.

Did you know MLB Hitters can not hit a 95+mph fastball with movement if they have pressure?

Can't do it.

The mind must be quiet and slow....

The body must be relaxed...

Their respiratory rate most be even and controlled....

No tension, no extra emotion... just sheer focus on a singular Me Vs. You event..hitting.

The same is true for you...

Whatever you want to achieve, set your vision to it, then, each day, hammer away at the base of the tree with a confident, consistent, resolve, along with a daily commitment to the task, goal/ achievement...

If you try to do too much, you will freak out and become anxious...

If you do too little, you will be frustrated at yourself...

So today is about finding your sweet spot....

How much work during a day is good for you?

What is the best habit and patterns for your work?

I will tell you this: IT IS NOT WORKING ALL DAY..10 Hrs. Straight, taking your work home with you, sitting on the couch with your laptop... that is not a formula for success...

Elite performers have a defined start and end time....

They do not float....

Now, as you embark on this first week of the year... I want you to find the work habits and patterns that work best  for you...

Personally, I use 4-90MINUTE BLOCKS... separated by meals and exercise...

6hrs. of work per day, 4 bouts of activity, 4 meals... and then by 5pm.. I am wrapped. That is it. No more.

That works for me....

I know how long I can focus.. how long I can sit... and how long before I get nuts..

Now it is your turn to do the same....

Big trees never fall with one hit to the base of the tree...

They fall with consistent daily action....

So instead of swinging you axe like a maniac... chop way each day on the vision you set for yourself....

Let's GO!
