All are very difficult to achieve.
But are they?
Well... they are when you are looking towards external things (and people)...
You see, in all of my years of Coaching.. a big part of my job was to Create & Develop Confidence in my Athletes & Business Coaching Clients...
The common theme I see amongst those who "have" confidence and "success" is that they have found a way to put on Blinders & Ear Plugs....
Focusing on their race.
Focusing on their journey.
Focusing on alignment to their mission, vision, and goals....
Not worrying about others... and what others are doing...
Because, they more time you focus on others (in regards to success and your own happiness), the more disappointed you will become with yourself and your results..
Why?
Simple.
We are all at different stages of our game...
Example: If you are starting a t-shirt company, and you compare yourself to Kevin Plank and his company, Under Armour, you will feel so far behind...
You will then put immense pressure on yourself that you will lose your focus on "where you are" and getting to "your next place".... on your "journey"..
If you are an unestablished professional, comparing yourself in regards to salary and position is not a good idea... you will become resentful and frustrated of those in front of you... You should be focused on doing a great job... earning your stripes.. and then using your instincts, attitude, abilities, and RESULTS to advance...
Stay within yourself...
If you are on a weight-loss journey, WIN THE DAY by WINNING THE MEAL... and WINNING THE WORKOUT...
Looking to far ahead and comparing your physicality to that of others and "fit" folks will only get you off your path and journey...
STAY WITHIN YOURSELF...
Always remember, success/ happiness/ confidence all start from the inside...
You getting really personal with yourself...
Really honest with yourself.....
Locked in on the mission, vision, and goals you set for yourself...
That is how winning is done.
Coaching Tip:Now, today, take 10-15 minutes of disconnected personal time and write a few simple notes on areas of your life you are comparing to that of others....
And STOP THAT IMMEDIATELY....
Let's get focused...
