It is here again!
Time to get to work!!
Head down, focused, and ready to create some wins/ mini-victories this week...
Some weeks we run towards those wins...
Other weeks we walk...
AND, some weeks we crawl...
But as long as you are moving forward and towards something... you will be alright!
I will tell you this though: The Journey Can Be Frustrating....
It is true.
The "success" journey can be exhausting....
Filled with unexpected turns, crisis, things not working out, deals falling through, relationships terminating....
That is the journey.
That is life.
My question is this: ARE YOU READY?
My second question is this: HOW DO YOU HANDLE IT ALL?
In my experience, most are not ready and therefore, handle things as if they were surprised things are not always perfect and linear....
I begin with this: YOU MUST KNOW THE RULES OF THE GAME.
Life is the game... it is going to be a wild ride.
Now, how do we prep ourselves to handle it?
1. Realize life is not linear and will be filled with surprises.
2. Realize how you react to these surprises will determine your success and most importantly your happiness.
3. Preparation to handle these surprises is a day to day practice.
4. We can come out victorious when we have a plan to handle crisis.
5. Sometimes, the best plan is surrender yourself, take off the pressure, and ride the wave while keeping yourself excited about the possibilities, rather than the opposition.
So what is the best technique you have for us Coach to do the above?
You see, we all have these "things" we tell ourselves...
For me, I never feel like I am DOING enough...
When I get things done, I always feel like there is more to do...
I am sure many can relate...
So, when I get in this situation and this natural inner, trained, negative dialogue kicks on, I COACH myself by saying: You did a great job, let's get back at it tomorrow. Remember, "Brick by brick"..
That is exactly what I tell myself in that situation.... it works for me.
But what about you?
What are some of the demons that eat you up?
"I am not good enough"
"I will never make it"
"I don't have enough money"
"I am letting my family down"
"I have to be more for my family"
Those are all bad thoughts that have no positive forward outcomes....
So, when we have these thoughts, the best way to self-coach is to exchange/ cancel them out with an opposing statement, spoken with conviction.
"I AM ENOUGH AND I AM DOING GREAT"...
"NOT ONLY WILL I MAKE IT, I WILL MAKE IT WITH ABUNDANCE"
"MONEY IS THE RESULT OF ME WORKING IN FULL ALIGNMENT AND FOR NOW, I HAVE ALL MY NEEDS COVERED"...
Get the point?
These validators need to be spoken as soon as the negative news creeps in your head...
Over time, the frequency of the negative news will reduce and you will start to feel the power of your CHAMPION validation statements...
So, as you face some noise this week... be ready by cancelling out the demons with those Champion validation statements!
