Each year, I bring up this topic because I find it to be extremely important as it relates to performance.
Being a baseball guy, let me ask you this question: What is your eating average?
Coach, what is an eating average.
Well, let's break it down.
If we eat 3 meals per day, 7 days per week, that is 21 meals.
And, each week, we can see our average based on how many clean meals we eat per week.
What is a Clean Meal?
Well- let's chat about it.
A clean meal:
That is a clean meal.
So, each time you eat a meal that is made up of the above, it is a clean meal and goes towards your Eating Average.
At the end of the week, you get to ask yourself: What was my eating average?
Did you go 10/21? 20/21? 18/21?
I say the rule is simple....
You can not go less than 14 for 21 if you want to live in optimal health.
But, the truth is, 18/21 is a great average.
It allows you to have some fun on the weekend, but forces you to eat clean through the week.
I write this today because last night I did not earn points on my eating average.
Feel low energy this morning as a result.
So, this week it is game on- aiming for that 18 + out of 21 meals....
I wanted todays message to be simple and light for you....
Something you can apply ASAP.
You will be glad you did- and, as a result, your energy will rise and your productivity will too.
We can not underestimate today how much sugar we are consuming without even knowing it.
When you follow the EAT CLEAN strategy, your body is very thankful and naturally will begin to throw off weight (right, Zac?)....
That is how it works...
You EAT CLEAN, you get the reward.
Food determines how you look and feel way more than your exercise.
Start EATING CLEAN, then put a good training plan next to that and you win!
And, speaking of Eating Clean, this weekend my wife and I had some fun shooting our first Farm Video! Watch it here! (click here).
We had some fun with this- so have a few laughs and enjoy our farmers journey!
