Hey Team...

I am a few days into year 36 and so far... so good!

This past week I received in the mail my first copies of the new book, Habits of a Champion... and man... what sense of fulfillment...

I honestly never planned on writing a book... 

Growing up.. I was not much of a reader or a writer....

Basically.. writing a book was never in my plans....

But as life went on... and my experiences, both good and bad began to accumulate.. I felt called to write this book...

Lessons from the great players I was fortunate to work with...

Guiding principles from the great leaders I have been able to train and coach...

Amazing feeling to hold 300 hours of work in your hands as a completed project..

And for today's lesson....

IT IS GREAT TO HAVE A PLAN... BUT YOU CAN NOT BE AFRAID TO PIVOT OR ADJUST!

How often do we see people get so locked in on their plan, that they can not even see it eroding in front of them...

Or.. maybe the plan they once had was a good plan at the time.. but now it is null and void based on the fact the person (or you) has grown bigger than the plan!

The world is always  talking about planning... but adjusting is really what we should be talking about ...

For anybody who has coached a team, started a business, or played a sport.. we all know for the most part... we need a Plan A,B, and C!... 

And the key to all of this is never being afraid to start... get in the game... experience life.. experience failure... and never forget the little wins along the way...

The mini-victories as I like to call them...

Champions become champions because of the little things.. the little wins.. the daily consistency... and most importantly.. knowing when to quit the people and things that are no longer serving them...

Take some time today to take an inventory what IS and IS NOT serving you!
