Be A Disruptor!

Hi Team...

This week, after sitting down with Chris Kirby of Ithaca Hummus my wheels really started turning...

I started thinking about the word disruption....

The word disruption is defined as: 

An interruption to the regular flow or sequence of something.

What if we all need some disruption on our life?

What if we need to do things differently than we have been doing them?

What if the results we are getting are the result of a lack of disruption in the current flow or sequence in which we do things.

I was Coaching an executive last week and we were talking about losing another 15lbs- 20lbs. before the end of the year....

To do that, we must disrupt how we are currently acting and/ or thinking...

We must choose a better way of or sequence of doing something to get the desired results....

The same is true for business or even how you run your department at work.......

What if you decided to do things differently and change the regular flow or sequence of doing things in order to get a different result?...

Disruption does not always have to be creating something that has never been created before like Facebook or Google or the next best tech platform....

Disruption can come from doing something just that much better or more efficiently than the current options in the marketplace, or, in your current realm of business....

Disruption can come from managing and leading your people in a way that honors and acknowledges their needs in a way that is different than other leaders and managers that have led them in the past, or, a variance from the current leadership style that is at the Company....

For example, if you are a hard-nosed leader, that is tough, and strong, and bold- that may be disruption relative to the often soft-styles of leadership being pushed today...

Disruption can come from using different language, more positive, more bold, more elaborate than the language typically used in your Company or team....

Disruption can come from imaging used that provokes certain emotions as it relates to your brand, your persona,  and/ or what you stand for...

Style of dress and presentation can create disruption.....

Disruption has many forms...

Disruption has many faces...

Disruption is critical if you want to "Stand-out" today and get above the noise...

Today, I want you to think about how you can create disruption as it relates to the crap patterns of thought and action you may currently have in play....

And, I want you to think about how you can become a disruptor at work or in your industry....

Disruption works!
