Hey Team...

Happy Monday!

I am writing to you this Monday from Starbucks....and taking in all the elements...

One thing I can not help but noticing is how "broken-down" many of the folks over 45 are....

So, as a Coach, what do I see?

  • Forward Leaning Posture ( Losing about 2-3 valuable inches)
  • One Foot Pointing One Way, the other Foot Pointing Another Way
  • Forward Head Posture
  • Leaning/ Holding the Counter to Maintain Balance
  • Rocking, Pushing Off Table to Stand Up from Chair
  • Rounded Shoulders

Now, as a Coach,  I see the things in human movement that most do not see...

And, today, I want to bring you into my world...

You see, as we get older (and over 30- yes that includes you), our body tends to shut down in the ways in which we DO NOT use it...

So, if you are not training for movement, strength, balance, and coordination, the body loses it...

Does that mean you can not get it back? Nope... you totally can...

But, it takes a commitment and a daily plan...

It takes training the movement systems that have become dormant....so we can bring them back to life....

With summer here, most people tend to be a bit more active.. let's use this time and activity to get us back to life!

How do we do it?

I say, first let's become aware....

Are you leaning?

Are you twisted?

Is your head forward?

Are your shoulders rounded?

What is going on with you?

Once you have that answer, you can begin training "out of that position"....

Training in a way that is specific to your needs is key...

Translation:

  • Where you are tight, you need length.
  • Where you are weak, you need strength.
  • Where you lack balance, you need balance.
  • Where you hold weight, you need the reason why.... (foods/ calories)

You see, when I train Athletes or Average Joe's and design programs for them, it is 100% about their needs...

That is why General Programs do not work for most.....

They are not specific to YOU...

Before you can maximize results... you must understand your limitations and how your body responds to foods, movements, and training protocols....

Once you get that, BOOM, your results can be supercharged!

I will leave you with this.... a simple video giving you a background on BALANCE TRAINING and some simple movements you can apply IF you want and need better balance!

 Again, depending on your need, there is specific training for YOU!
