Hey Team...

Hope you are having a great week!

Since it is Thursday.. I want to make sure you are getting done what you "have to" get done....

Meaning, I am sure you have done the easy stuff this week... 

The auto-pilot work....

But what about the real needle-moving items, or, Power-Plays as I like to call them..

When I speak with clients and companies about Productivity, this is where I start...

Have you ever been sitting at your desk, you have great intentions of getting something done, and boom, next thing you know you are off-course...

Maybe you have defaulted to checking email...sending an email.. or maybe even heading over to talk with somebody....

And what happens?

That "have-to" work gets pushed back, your stress level elevates, and then you feel the pressure.....

Why is that?

Well, often times, we are lacking focus on the POWER-PLAYS and to focused on what I call, The Assists....

The Assists are the items that need to get done, but are really not essential. They do not have a real timeline.....like most of the emails in your inbox....

So, if you are looking to increase your efficiency in all that you do, the process begins on a Sunday night, or Friday afternoon before you close out for the week..

It looks like this....

1. On a piece of paper, or index card, write down the word Power-Plays

2. Underneath, put a #1, #2, #3

3. Then, underneath those, write down Assists....

4. Underneath, put a #1, #2, and #3.....

5. Then, put write down your Power-Plays- the things you need to do to move the needle... you may actually only have one.. that is fine....

6. Then, write down your Assists....

Then, you must go to work....

Get your Power-Plays done early in the week, Assists are only done once the Power-Plays are done... Never sooner.

Simple.

This will keep you focused on what matters...

This will help keep you locked in on what moves your needle...

In the end, less stress, more progress...
