HEAD DOWN AND GRIND!

Hi Team....

So, to be completely transparent, I wasted 30-minutes this morning on social media scrolling.

Looking at other peoples lives- which quite frankly are not that interesting....

But, I got hooked on the social media slot machine.

Now, I had to stop because I have a lot to do and get done today starting at 6am...

With that said, what a waste of 30-minutes watching people oversell the interest of their own lives.....

Who thought watching people cook, workout, travel on private planes (that may not even take off) and washing their face would ever capture the eyes of others...

Well, in todays day and age- it does.

And for those who are not seeing images like above, maybe you were on LinkedIn and saw a company that just got invested in or purchased for a few hundred million and you are left saying: How can I do that? or, Why not me? or, They found happiness and what they love to do, Why can't I?

Well, here is the deal, you can.

You can find greatness but only when you double down on yourself and follow your breadcrumbs like venture capitalist Tracy Chadwell suggested this week.

But too often we are wasting 30-minutes here, and 30-minutes there trying to understand ourselves, our WHY (which is total crap), and how we got to where we are.

WHO FREAKIN' CARES.

Put your damn head down and get to work.

Forget what everyone else is doing.

Forget what looks cool and is probably not making a dime.

Forget what business the Journal is bragging about.

Get serious about YOU.

Your business.

Your life.

Your mission.

Your vision.

Your family.

What YOU are great at.

Got it?

When you honor that and go after that, you win. Always.

I am so sick of watching people jump on the wagon of others- joining these mini-cults that are popping up everywhere.

From the "social justice" camps....

To the "entrepreneurial" camps...

To the "look at me and how great I am doing (while you suck)" camps...

The World at times can feel like a high school cafeteria- don't let it.

We all need to get serious about what we are doing, how we are doing it, and how what we are doing and what we are building can help others achieve something or solve a problem.

For some, that may just be "not being such a selfish a$$" and actually being there for somebody else...

Whatever it is, the time is now.

The time is now to cancel out all the noise and get locked and loaded on what it is you do and what you can contribute to the World, to others, to your community- whatever.

But for the love of GOD, please stop looking at what everyone else is doing- as most of these people are completely lost.

They are hoping for the next bestselling book to come out and tell them how to live better- do not let this be you.

Follow your heart.

Follow your intuition.

Follow your gut.

When you do that, you will have the greatest gift given to you....

A knowingness.

A true feeling of comfort that you are working in flow and doing what you are supposed to be doing.

That is it.

Now, I hope I lit a fire under you this AM to cancel out the noise and over-hyped, media-driven distraction bait.

It is time to get to work.

Oh yeah- and here is one last thing for you to see through the lines on.

"Quitters never win. Especially when you quit on your teammates. Even more so when you quit on yourself."

Go out and win today my team of Champions.

Play to win.

Never quit on yourself- that is what losers do!
