Hey Team-

Sorry it has been a few days. I have been out really promoting my book, Habits of a Champion.. which has been amazing!

We have ran out of our printing lots a few times, and have been forced to reprint, which has been an amazing feeling being a first time author!

The remainder of this week, I have to head up to Vermont and Saratoga, New York for another few signings...

My favorite part about all of this is meeting new people!

Yesterday, I taped a podcast episode for the show, Roots of Leadership with CEO Anthony Gruppo... and the theme of the show was Leadership.

A word that is frequently spoken about, but often times lacking a clear definition for most since the interpretation of the word is often left to the listener and their experiences with different leaders... from previous teachers, coaches, bosses, and even parents...

The word Leadership is a word that should symbolize responsibility. For self, for others.

Leaders are given a very clear directive: LEAD.

The root of the word LEADership is lead.

Today, I see many leading others but failing to lead themselves.

They have eroding health, negative mindsets, and sometimes losing teams or failing businesses, and resentful workforces, employees, players, and students... yet, they call themselves leaders.

That is the disconnect. That is what we need to focus on...

Setting high standards for ourselves, then meeting or exceeding those standards while holding others accountable to meeting and exceeding their set standards...

On the show yesterday, we talked about how the Best differentiate themselves from others...

Is it strictly skill?

Is it strictly talent?

What is it?

An ability to keep things simple... and remain consistent day in and day out...

Not looking for a hack, or a quick fix, but finding what works, and repeating it over and over again... day in and day out...

That is Leadership.

Consistency always wins.

Standing at the top of the mountain alone at times, living and dying by your core values, beliefs, and character... and being OK with the outcomes...

Not adapting, but rather having those you lead adapting to you because you present such strength, power, and gravitation to your message & standards... that so many others want to be a part of it...

That is Leadership....

You produce a gravitational pull towards you based on what you stand for... and with that influence.. you are able to make others better around you...

That is Leadership.

Lead. Stay true to cause. Stay true to self. Stay true to mission, vision, and goals...

The World is yours.

Just keep things simple and consistent.

You make it happen.

And as a reminder, this doesn't mean do not be humble, grateful, and appreciative... or have a ego so big an arena could not fit you in there...

It means believe in yourself.... believe in others... and together... go create GREATNESS.

That is LEADership.
