Hey Team...

I hope you are having some fun this week! (that was what we agreed to in yesterday's blog)....

And today, we are going to talk about our own energy... and becoming a true high performance leader....

Yesterday, I sent a video to my Coaching clients that discussed the difference between leadership, and being a high performance leader.

Now, they sound the same, but they are completely different...

You see, leadership is focused on those you lead exclusively...

High Performance Leadership is focused on YOU. 

Most specifically, your mental and physical health so you can be in the best possible position to lead....

HPL, High Performance Leadership is really based and rooted in these questions:

Have you ever realized how much energy it takes to lead others? lead a team? to show up everyday with excitement, passion, and vigor?

For those who are leading teams, in sports or business, you know what I mean...

Leadership has a tremendous energy expenditure that goes with it both while you are at work and while you are home thinking about how to get the most out of your team, it's members, your department, and yourself...

When I speak with Companies and work with their Executive Teams, this is the major focus... and we start the Performance Leadership process with just a few easy steps...

1. Morning Routine

2. Evening Routine

3. Nutritional Revamp

4. Training Program

5. Visualization and Mental Compartmentalization 

These 5-Steps, when working in unison are designed to form the base of the Performance Leadership Pyramid.

The goal here again is to make sure the leader is primed and ready to ENDURE.

That is what gets me nuts about most Leadership Preachers... 

Not once do they mention the physical demands of leadership....

Not once do they mention the mental demands of leadership...

Not once do they provide you the "how to"on achieving the above...

Why?

Because the conversation is always about "how to get the most out of those you lead..."

But, the reality is, YOU MUST LEAD YOURSELF FIRST....

Then, your energy, your passion, your new way of being will become infectious, contagious, and become the spark that never goes out.....and remember, as Bruce Springsteen said, "You can't start a fire without a spark"...

The light.

The beacon.

That is High Performance Leadership....

SO, the choice is yours.

Get on the HPL Train, or lead like the masses. (tired, fatigued, stressed)
