Hope you are having a great week!

I have been getting a lot of emails lately about: How to Eat? What to Eat?

When I ask these individuals why they are asking these questions... they disclose two reasons:

1. More Sustainable Energy throughout the day...

2. Decreased Body Fat....

When I respond to them, I always ask them what they are currently eating....

They always tell me about their most "perfect day"... but often times overlook the hit and run, grab and go foods they just toss into their mouth....

Now, when we want to take our eating game to the next level, we have to start understanding what happens when we make poor choices as it relates to our macronutrients of carbs, fat, and protein....

Many people today eat high carbs, high fat, and low protein....

Protein is the macronutrient they consume the least amount of.. but that is the lean muscle building macro....

And, if you are constantly in a protein deficit, you will find yourself craving more carbs and more fats to stay full...

So when we begin a dietary transformation, the goal is increase water and increase lean proteins (lean meat, fish, chicken, green vegetables, supplements)..

The next time you eat, I want you to look down at your plate. How is it distributed? High carbs? Probably. Higher fat? Probably. Lower Protein? Most likely.Β 

This is why, when we look at BRO-SCIENCE dieting, the first thing told is cut out pasta, rice, potatoes, bread, and baked goods... and increase protein.

It actually works.

The body is ready to soak up that protein and help the body build.Β 

In addition, when we consume too many carbs and fats, our cells get full, and when our cells get full at a cellular level, we get what I call the spill over effect.

Meaning, if your cells are full, and you are pushing more into them, the spill over is usually found around your waist and chin...

This is the premise of fasting...

Burn down the excess in the cell...

So the cell can start receiving again....

If your cells are full, it is like putting more gas into a gas tank that is already full...we all have been there... we all know how that works out.... gas on the floor, on our shoes, and on the ground underneath the tank....

As you are thinking about revamping your diet, never think about starving yourself, think about giving the body MORE of the nutrients it needs.. which in turn, will allow you to never feel starving, and always feel energized.

Nutrition is always looked at as torture to many...but when you get your MACROS right, it is amazing how good you will feel because your body, for the first time in a while, it will be running efficiently again without any clogs in the system....

Starting today, just start studying your plate....and remember, every calorie matters when it comes to powering your machine!
