Hi Team...

Yesterday, I interviewed Dr. Nicole Saphier, head of radiology at Sloan Kettering and Fox News Contributor....

We had an amazing conversation about cancer- the cause of it and why so many people are at risk....

She was totally convicted in her answer of: Cancer is not just a genetic disease, but a lifestyle disease.

Dr. Saphire spoke to the fact that most people do not move enough, they eat too much, and they do not eat enough of the right stuff...

It is that simple.

I asked her if that fact that there is a pill for everything is part of the reason behind this....

A typical pattern that is seen:

Eating poorly leads to increased weight-gain which leads to higher blood pressure which leads to you needing to medicate to get that blood pressure down....

Your life is really the result of your habits and behaviors which I say over and over again....

But if you habits and behaviors are stealing your energy and your health, why would you continue along that path?

Why would you allow laziness and a self-belief that you can not get into better shape without:

  • starving yourself...
  • eating only fruits and vegetables..
  • fasting...
  • not eating foods you enjoy...
  • never being able to eat some of your favorite indulgences...

That simply is not true.

You can have the foods you like.. you may just have to revamp how you prepare them...

You can have a cheat or snack that you enjoy.. especially if you are training on a daily basis....

But the ultimate truth is this: If you eat well most of the time, you can get away with a few meals per week that are not prime....

If you exercise most of the time, metabolically you will be able to burn faster, so, as a result you can get away with some of those indulgences...

Getting in great shape, or better shape means you take time each day to make conscious decisions that involve fitness each day and thinking about what you put into your mouth as opposed to tossing whatever is on the table in your mouth...

I know today's blog may have a rough tone, but I want this for you..

I want you to win at your health...

You will feel too good not to at least take the first steps....

Just focus on winning the workout each day and win each meal that you sit down for....

When you do that, you become a consistent winner as it relates to your health....

It is not complicated, it just takes awareness and a desire to be better...
