Hey Team....
What if you could live your life 100% convicted and determined?
And, most importantly, you are not influenced by the thoughts, judgements, and input of others?
That my friends, is what a High Performance Mindset is all about...
But, in order to achieve this state of mind... there are a few things that we need to do....
Actually, there are 5-things....
1. You have to believe in yourself....
When you have doubts, you must immediately reframe them....
I can't(S) Become I can(S) through self-talk and coaching
YOU MUST HAVE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR NEGATIVE SELF-TALK AND NEGATIVE SELF-IMAGE.. THAT CAN ONLY HAPPEN BY SELF-COACHING YOURSELF THROUGH THESE MOMENTS. RUN TOWARDS YOUR FEAR.
2. You have to believe there is a reason greater than yourself as to why you need to go where it is you believe you need to go...
Remind yourself in each moment of fear, hesitation, lost motivation of why it is you are doing this.
Create a list of the reasons why you NEED to do what you do, most importantly writing about the impact it will have on others.
IT IS GREAT TO BENEFIT FROM YOUR WORK, BUT THAT BUCKET GETS EMPTY. INSTEAD, WRITE DOWN ALL THE PEOPLE THAT CAN BENEFIT FROM YOUR WORK AND HOW THEIR LIVES & THE WORLD AROUND THEM CAN BE RADICALLY DIFFERENT AS A RESULT OF YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS.
3. You must embrace conflict.....
Every great visionary and leader will meet conflict in their quest to achieve success. Resistance is a part of success and achievement,
When you meet conflict, remind yourself to go at it strategically. Do not let your ego get the best of you, but rather put your mission in first place.
WHEN YOU LEAD WITH YOUR MISSION, IT CAN NEUTRALIZE THE CONVERSATION, LETTING THE OTHER PERSON KNOW YOU ARE JUST SO PASSIONATE ABOUT YOUR WORK AND WHAT YOU DO-- IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT YOUR OWN STAT LINE AND AGENDA TO MAKE YOURSELF LOOK GOOD AND THEM LOOK BAD.
4. You must be willing to work through discomfort....
We all face roadblocks that feel like they are moving towards us. Walls that appear as we are moving down our path. This is all normal.
As you come across these road blocks, realize they are strategically placed to test you, to get you to think differently, to stop pounding the round peg in the square hole.
IF YOU REMEMBER THAT EXERCISE WITH THE 9-DOTS, THAT SAYS CONNECT THE DOTS WITHOUT LIFTING THE PEN, YOU WILL REMEMBER THAT IT IS "OK" TO GO OUTSIDE OF THE BOX. ROAD BLOCKS WILL FORCE YOUR THINKING THAT WAY. IT IS A GOOD THING AND WILL PREPARE YOU FOR MORE WALLS UP AHEAD AS THE STAKES GET BIGGER.
5. You must keep yourself in peak condition both mentally and physically....
Get on a training plan. Get in the gym. Train every day.
Get your body and mind in peak shape through physical exercise, reading, and engaging conversations with experts so you can elevate your performance and be prepared, be un-shakable, and most importantly, have the endurance & energy to endure.
Listen, not everybody can be or wants to be a high performance player.
But, we can all take a few lessons from the above 5-Ways to Achieve / Develop a High Performance Mindset...
