Hi Team...

This AM, I woke up thinking about the word: Management.

Yes, I know. 

Is that what somebody should wake-up thinking about? Absolutely.

Because I am thinking about management as it relates to self.


Have you ever thought about what it really takes to:

  • Reach your goals
  • Get in great shape
  • Not eat poorly
  • Be a great parent, wife, husband, and/or boss
  • Get your work done
  • Build a great company
  • Be a great leader

It takes management.

You must learn to manage yourself against your natural tendencies, or, at times with your natural tendencies.

What I have found, is those with really wonderful results in life are just really good managers of their own clock vs. what they need to do to feel great and perform highly. 

That is really it.

If you are a poor manager of yourself, chances are, you are trying to do too much, and not doing too much. 

Got it?

This is a big distinction.

Too many people today have too much on their plate, which leaves very little focused time to manage the important things...

Ultimately, many feel like they don't get enough done, relative to the time they have on the clock.

But think about that....

How do the greats become great?

They are often very focused... very singular and have the gift of managing only a few of the KEY things they need to be the best they can be...

Everything else, well, is either cut or delegated to somebody else who has the ability to "manage" those other things....

Busy is not good, contrary to what others say.

Busy working your core competency and essentials is acceptable... but, when you ask people what they are busy doing, it is usually the result of doing things that are not their core competency, or things that are too peripheral. 

What I want you to do with this time we have now is: SIMPLIFY.

Simplify your life by determining what your ESSENTIALS are...

What are the essential actions and thoughts you need to be having each day to achieve what it is you desire...

Now, this has to dial down to simple actions that move the needle.

And, it will also require you to be on top of your schedule.. not giving away your "Work" time...

Because, if you give away your work time, that means work will then cut into your FREE time... and, we just can not have that....


It is the only way.
